They are plastered onto my seafoam green walls — a color I had no hand in choosing, I must add. Posters of my favorite anime, Naruto. Gaara at the foot of my bed, staring at the full moon. A picture of Kakashi reading his pervy Icha Icha Paradise book while mindlessly scratching the head of one of his ninja hounds. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, the Sand Siblings… all characters from my most favorite anime and manga. It is a testament to my devotion to this series, my fandom. I don’t care if it’s nerdy or immature, I am proud to be a fan.

There it was, spread across the wall of her bedroom. Her idol, her hero, her role model: Joyce Clancey (AN: made-up name) . She was independent, she was smart, she was strong, and she wasn’t afraid to say what she felt. Alice pushed her glasses up to her nose; all she was was a shy little book worm, nothing at all like Miss Joyce. But someday.. maybe … if she kept that poster up throughout high school and touched the woman’s portrait everyday before school and before bed.. maybe.. some of her talent may rub off on her.

A monkey. Phantom of the Opera. Billy Joel. The Lion King. Big Ben. Rainbow Fish. Duckies. London. Winnie the Pooh. A kitten. Wicked. Each an inside joke, or something to make me smile. The thing at the end of the day that reminds me to keep going, because of all the cool things I know. Posters are what make my walls not white, and the things that show that my mind is equally cluttered and colorful.

Poster is a big sheet of information. People use it to pitch ideas and thoughts.
Ideas of upcoming events and thoughts of who to vote for or other silly stuff.
Posters also hold pictures. Pictures of idolized people, funny sayings, and everything under the sun. Really what he don’t do with posters are set good examples for the later generations. Posters are over and under used!

Justin Bieber. Avenged Sevenfold. A playboy Bunny. Cars. Bands. Words.
Posters represent millions of things. They can be a sign of fandom. A sign of obsession.
I have never met a single person who has never owned a poster.
Getting your first poster is almost like a rite of passage for any person.
I remember getting my first poster. It was from Toys R Us, and it was a High School Musical one. I was so excited. I tacked it over my bed, and kept it there.
Now that I’m older I have different posters.
A poster of different things to do on the Drums. Avenged Sevenfold, Escape the Fate. I have countless posters all around my room.

Poster’s are seen, heard and recognized. Vivid color spewing out onto a page, words with information calling your name. “Read me, learn all that I want to tell you.” They make you listen attentively and annoy the heck out of you until you observe them. Everywhere you go there will be a poster about an event, a special day or just something new to do. Tools that let you know what is going on around you. A poster is more than a piece of paper it’s a ticket to new experiences.
