Animal prints have become extremely popular over the past few months. Everywhere you go it seems as if someone is wearing an article of clothing with zebra or leopard print on it. There are so many purses, shoes and accessories with all these different prints on them.

i first think of animal prints that my grandmother wore. as a young child i thought them to be strange and old lady like. who wore cheetah? shoes, purses, shirts. you name it. but now that it has become a trend, i am always reminded of that feeling of when i was a child, thinking it was bizarre. only when society says its okay did i accept it.

The typewriter echoed slowly off of the brick walls. Papers of all sort lay eschew on the floor. The most organized disorganization. He typed and typed until his fingers were numb trying to put together the pieces of the night. Trying to understand the

I love prints of all colors shapes and designs. Many different people use prints in art that are very beautiful. I love how many varieties of prints there are! I can’t believe how amazing and intricate some prints can be, and how many different surfaces can be used in printing!
The prints on the door wouldn’t fade. They were no longer the bright crimson of the blood they were made in, but a muted red-brown, the color of her hair if he remembered correctly. He couldn’t believe she was really dead, as he sat on the floor, sponge in hand, trying to will himself into scrubbing away the last trace of her in his life.

I always wanted a detective kit when I was younger. They used to sell little finger printing kits for kids, where you could dust on white powder or black powder and then lift a print and tape it to the opposite colored paper (white powder on black paper or black powder on white…) I think a little booklet came with them and probably also a magnifying glass. The round kind with a handle (- Which I’d also seen used to burn leaves or burn initials into a seesaw!)

Walking through the fabric store, I breathe in the air like a mermaid soaks in clean salt water. When the prints were ready, David hung them out to dry and watched the images ooze out in red patterns before him. Upstairs, his wife was making dinner in the kitchen, the TV blaring an old Seinfield episode with the same old bass transitions. In the backyard, his sons were playing catch.
As his eyes focused and unfocused, David morphed in the red glow around him, completely at peace.
