“Quest” – den Begriff kenne ich in allererster Linie aus Rollenspielen. So nennt man eine Aufgabe, die man erledigen muss und für die man dann z.B. als Belohnung neue Fertigkeiten oder Waffen bekommt. “Quest” ist aber auch der Titel eines Romans von Andreas Eschbach.

A quest is something that heroes have to go on to prove their worth. A quest can involve many dangers and trials or tests that the hero may have to go through in order to prove their worth. A quest may be with a group of people or in some cases alone. Some famous quests occurred in movies and in books.

I had a late start to the tasks everyone else had already finished. Three steps behind and inexperienced, I was completely disadvantaged but I had to overcome this. I had to prevent Leslie from sacrificing herself for this world. She had too much at stake. But I did not. No one would miss me if I were gone.

I went on a quest to find pirate treasure. On the way we came across some real pirates. Unfortunate for us it was their treasure we were looking for. Without notice they took out their swords and started swinging for our heads!
