People are not plastic. People are not cardboard. People are not fucking paper.

    People aren’t like that.

  8. recycling is a good thing. I recycle because little things like that really makes a difference. i mean, i try to throw away plastic in a plastic box and throw away aluminum in another bag and try to reuse everything i have in my home, like paper, i use both sides when i’m writing stuff down. i hate the fact, though, that recycling is not enough to help this planet, especially with only a few thousand people doing so. But anyways, also, if mother nature recycles like the water cycle, can’t humans also recycle everything to preserve this planet? Eh, just my thoughts.

  25. I think that recycling is a really great thing. If we didn’t, our waste would build up and up and up and we, as a planet would probably be doomed. Then again, we probably already are with Global Warming and the rate at which we dispose of things, but at least recycling makes it a little better. Or so we think.

My mother thinks leftovers are meant to fill trash cans & that the compost heap I set up outside is nothing but a ‘source of stink.’ I do try though, I really do. I try to encourage my siblings to recycle, even the wee ones. It’s seems like such a small thing, to separate certain pieces of trash so that we’re not as wasteful on the planet. Every person who thinks that someone else is in the world is recycling for them, so they don’t have to, could be helping the world.

In reality, he had bought the ring at a Kay’s long ago, in a different time, when summer was in full swing but the only heat he felt was the kind deep in his veins, the kind that surged violently, ridiculously, at every mention of his lover at the time. He hadn’t known then, that that heat would disappear with the heady air and the brilliant sun of a July in Chicago; that it would frost over and disappear.

He had learned, and although he was smart, he was stubborn. The heat had returned, and he refused to recall his lesson; he brought it out from its dark hiding place in the most obsolete corner of his closet, and thought of her only briefly before he remembered to go forward with the present.
