  12. The day I met him was so unreal, I couldn’t put it into words for years; our coincidental meeting, lack of awkwardness and such an odd variety of shared interests. It seemed like clockwork.
Its so hard to believe that I had fallen in love with, well.. a computer.
The “Marton” was their name – Big City Entrepreneurs. According to research, they originally planned to pay civilians to live with their robots for six months on a trial of “human interaction”. Of course I didn’t know it then, what kind of psychopath would even entertain the idea of “trying it out” had the made me sign a contract. Signing such contract was the initial project, but they decided it would be more beneficial to just throw the testers out into the city and “see how they’d go”, that way there was no chance of pre-umpting the experience mentally. When I read about that online, the first thing I thought of was the time I was taken to hospital after a nasty car accident only meters from my house. I wasn’t wearing a seat belt and well, let’s just say I learnt my lesson. The doctors kept asking me to rate my pain out of ten. After a few X-rays and psychological tests, they moved onto reflex reactions. I remember the nurse talking to me about my day, pre-crash. Randomly she knocked my knee with a small, plastic, hammer-like instrument. When I asked her why she hadn’t done it earlier with the previous tests, she said that the mind can change even natural reactions when the idea of it is already being stimulated mentally. I assume the robot’s interaction with me was generated around the same idea; If I had no idea he was a robot, the results would be more accurate, more natural. Not that there was anything natural about it.
Clearly, that decision came with huge legal risks, and there was no doubt they’d hear from my lawyers, such an invasion of privacy, and not to mention an embarrassment.

  16. “Love, you can’t work like this forever. You’re harming your health. It’s as if you turned into a robot.” the woman looked at her husband with concern. He was typing away on his laptop, hassled with an upcoming deadline. “I must finish this, Roxanne. It doesn’t matter if I live or die, as long as this is finished.” he responded to her. Tears welled up in her eyes as she wrapped her arms around her husband. This company was too much. Too much.

  17. machine, talking, slave, iamrobot, ironman, future technology.
fun. babysitter. pets, robot pets. boring.

  18. The robot stood in the center of the arena and looked around. The crowd went wild for this. They always get so excited over the robot. It was as if they have never seen a machine do it’s job before. The robot bent down and picked up the piece of trash and deposited it into the trash bin. The crowd went wild again. The creator of the robot simply sighed at the crowd’s simple mindedness.

  19. “Look! It’s a miracle! I can stand in air! On Light itself!” Declared the fly, sitting on this smooth surface it had been trying to break through, to go into the foreign lands. Little did he realize, The other flies saw him as an evil Robot, sent by them giants that moved, trying to get them all killed by leading them unto their Never ending caves. There was going to be a revolution

  20. The blue lips smiled. The red limbs threatened to rip me to shreds, but the green breastplate with the peace sign seemed innocent enough. It was big. And very, very scary. But I gave it a shot. “Hi.” I said. “He-llo” it replied, “I am Os-car”

  30. Theories that they will take over the world in movies. Cliche themes. iRobot, the movie that starred Will Smith. Robots are smart, mechanical, emotionless, but there’s tons of other theories that robots are humans too? But how is that scientifically possible? I’d like a robot, to do my chores, to do my homework. Considering technology is replacing everything anyway.

  31. Sometimes it can feel like you’re a robot, going about your business in this world. Doing the same things over and over again. But once you recognize your purpose, and realize that the repetition is for a reason, you can nudge the world a little. Your gears will be oiled, your movement fluid.

  32. Bad robot – that’s some film label. There is a robot standing in the grass there. Doesn’t look too bad, only lost and a bit bewildered. I would never want to have a human-like robot – that just makes me think of slavery immediately. However, non-human like robots are fine. What’s really cool though is nano technology and robotic limbs for humans!

  33. Fourteen men in a dead machine’s chest – looking for the spark – for anything that approximated to life – that’ll do- the baldie in the boiler suit gave up — I’m off to the pub lads — leave the thing — it cannae follow us for goodness sake — and if it did – och well we’ll buy the damn thing a pint!

  34. The beast with a face of steel attacked us without warning. Our weapons had no effect on it! its powerful arms swatted our best men around like a cat playing with insects. We were powerless against its wrath and slowly we all fell one by one until only I was left.

    I doubt, therefore I am
    I am a robot
    most of the time
    but sometimes
    I am a tree
    a leaf
    a raindrop spilling
