  5. sage advice, they tell us. sage advice, every day like a mantra. offer sage advice. what exactly do they mean? who qualifies to offer such advice? doesn’t it require life experience? they say it like anyone can offer words of wisdom. maybe anyone can, but I think of sage advice and I think of old men in the mountains of napal. not accessible at all.

  12. in elementary school we went to outdoor camp and our trail leader told us to rub this sage brush on our necks cuz it was supposed to smell nice. so like all the other kids, i did it, not knowing i was allergic to sage. so i ended up breaking out in a huge rash and had to spend the rest of the day sitting in the nurse waiting for the swelling to go down.

  19. sage a wise man who gives advice to those in need lives his life by listening 10 times more than he talks, a wise ideaology, it is also a native american spice that is mean to be smoked while cleansing the lungs of those who need it.
    but the sage which we discuss here can’t be the sage that cleanses, rather the sage that allows you to cleanse.

  27. I never considered myself to be wise or even really that smart, well book smart. People I know, but I suppose this short snippet will determine if this type of sage is the smart type of the kind or the kind people ingest.

  28. The word sage. What can I say about the word sage? Well, first off, I don’t quite know what it means. I’ve heard it used before, but the direct meaning of it eludes me. It would be much easier to write about it if I had the meaning of it. Oh well, I can just write about what I do know about it.

  29. sage…such an interesting word. sage reminds me of grandmas sitting on porches in the late summer knitting with an old cat purring on their feet. don’t ask me why… hmm sage also reminds me of lavender- partly because i dont quite know what sage actually is. i’ll ask my mom…

    oh wow i was wrong. my mom said it means wisdom from age…ohmygoodness i do not believe her. dictionary time! well this is turning out to be a lesson rather than an opinion lol.
    ohhhkayy thats better. sage is either an herb whose grayish-green leaves are used in medicine and for seasoning in cookery or a profoundly wise person; a person famed for wisdom. well seeing that sage could either be an adjective or a noun, my grandma thing up there wasn’t too shabby. i could just add in that there are sage bushes growing around the edge of the porch and the air is filled with their aroma. there- that’s sage for you.

  39. i’m not quite sure what sage means, in fact. the only way i’ve heard it used is in reference to “sage advice” or “sage wisdom.” maybe it means experienced? it also reminds me of a spice and cooking. i miss cooking. along with other things from home.

  40. Sage is a beautiful herb that is often enjoyed in many foods. My dad uses sage leaves in his Jumbaylaya that I really love. I think it is sage, maybe it is bay? I truly do not know.
