  1. Saturday was always the most comforting day on Tristana’s schedule. It was the one day a week which she reserved for a self-indulgent spree of food-related deliciation. While such a practice may not have been good for her physical health, she claimed it as her inexorable right to pig out and relegate herself to the realm of the couch at least once a week.

  2. All week I look forward to one place, not just a physical one but a space of time and location colliding together to create my happiness. And that space is waking up next to you on a Saturday morning. I can breath the sunlight and just forget about all the weekday worries. I wait for Saturday.

  4. I like Saturday, it’s the only day I can be fully lazy. It’s usually a boring day… Until now. He came around, didn’t warn me, caught me at my worst. Best mood, worst looks. Trackies and a jumper. Great. He told me he loves me. I guess you could say, I love him too.

  5. Hectic. Fun. Girl band fun. Relaxing and happy wait all week for the day to come.

  6. the first thing i know about Saturday in our culture that it is the first day of the week and our school starts that day, and i hate that a lot, because we have no fun at the day before it.

  7. Saturday is an amazing day, because we have a lot of fun in it.

  8. It was my favorite day of the week! And the Saturday premiers are on hbo and stars. It’s hard to type without thinking and 60 seconds seem like a Lon time! When will it cut me off…and how will it do it? Just stop accepting letters? How? And when? It’s been 60 seconds at least I think. I’m going to just stop typing! Now!!!!

  9. Saturday is always a day of opportunity. You never know what is going on or what you can get into. The whole day is yours to have and blow as you may. I love Saturdays.

  10. This day is my favorite day. Sleeping, no worrying about assignments due the next day- they can wait for SUnday. It’s when life takes place. Groceries. Nights out. Nights in. Parties with friends or parties with cats.

  11. It was a cool day, with no clouds in sight. The sun shone down on the aluminum table as the three friends sat around enjoying their ice cream cones. It has been a while since the late twenty-somethings have been able to get together and giggle like old times. Life has moved on too swiftly, it seems, with the friends not having time to spare for “girls’ time.”

  12. Saturdays are my favorite day because it is a day that my husband does not have to get up to go to work and we have no where that we have to be…we usually spend the day helping family or doing something. However there is NOTHING that we have to do on a Saturday. I think of sleeping in and being lazy or just getting things done around the house that need to be accomplished.

  13. Saturday is tomorrow. I will probably have to hangout with my friend. She gets mad when I make fun of Jesus and say that I’m the antichrist. She sure likes drawing pictures of Marilyn Manson for someone who doesn’t like him.

  16. it is friday today, and therefore saturday tomorrow. i don’t have any real plans. although i wish i had. i would like to spend a weekend in the middle of the woods someday soon. that would be amazing. nobody else around. actually, i’d like to have one person there with me. just one. that would be best. i don’t like huge crowds of people very much, i like being alone or in small groups. that tends to be best.

  17. it’s a fun day to spend with family and friends. you can go to the movies, the mall, or even a walk on the beach in the blistering sun. hopefully you don’t have to do any homework and can spend the rest of your time swimming and playing with your pets. don’t worry about working because living in the moment is the most important!

  18. Every Saturday I wake in a strange bed with my dad in the next room, whistling. He’s making pancakes, or eggs and bacon, or oatmeal. He’ll call us to the kitchen about the time the food is done, and get louder and louder until we straggle to the table, wiping dreams from our eyes with the backs of our hands.

  20. Saturday in the park. the breeze flowed through the branches.

  21. It was a Saturday, many years ago, when the men wearing over-sized navy uniforms marched up to the doorstep and flung open the door. It was a Saturday when they barged in and he held his silver gun up to the smooth skin of her forehead and placed his pointer finger on the trigger. It was a Saturday when they killed her, and it was a Saturday when I lost my reason to live.

  24. is the best day of the week. Everything about it just fills me with joy, the feeling of being let free of all of my weekly cares. Even though i usually don’t do much on saturdays, i love it because i know that i could have the freedom to do ANYTHING if i wished to do so. One Saturday, in particular, changed my life forever.

  25. Saturday will be in spent in Baltimore, like the time we went to the practice space and took a Polaroid of the colorful bridge. It was cold then, because it was still winter. I miss Saturdays spent in Baltimore. They were always great.

  26. i already wrote about this word today, wait is there only one word per day?thats sort of depressing, anyway, lazy days, drinking, etc. only true weekend because there’s no school and you dont have to go to bed at a “reasonable hour” so pretty good day in my opinion.

  27. Easy breezy kind of day, that I feel is necessary after a week like I’ve had. The work load was crazy. All I had to look forward to was this weekend, and seeing HIM. Yes, all of you “love sick” women know exactly what I’m talking about. He’s coming over tonight, Friday night, and we’re going to spend it doing unmentionable things. Then Saturday will be the easy breezy, “wake up to his arms around you, pull on his shirt, go make coffee, put on music, and love. Just love.” That’s what I like the most about Saturdays. You can just love. Who you are, who you’re with, and what’s going on around you. That’s what Saturday is about: love. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Neither would he.

  28. Saturday is my favorite day of the week. I don’t know if that’s true, it just sounded like an easy opener. I usually have a good time on Saturday. Usually. Some Saturdays drag on for too long whenever I have nothing to do. Some Saturdays I am overloaded with unnecessary workloads. Saturdays are generally pretty swell.

  30. Saturday is the best day of the week. You get to sleep in from Friday’s commodities and then you can stay up a whole other day just for fun. You don’t even have to worry about homework, because thats what Sunday’s for. BEST DAY EVER! yeah.. saturday.

  32. today is not. saturday. tomorrow is saturday though by tomorrow tomorrow will be sunday. it could take a lifetime to wrap your head around. ironically, you don’t need to. saturday could just as well be sabado, or however they say “saturday” in french. it also needs to be capitalized in order to be acceptable; therefore, we are all writing about a different saturday than “Saturday,” the sixth day of the week, unless you are religious in which case it is actually the seventh.

  37. the bird has songs that have never been sung but for some reason only the mockingbirds can hear the chirping sounds of their chirping chirp. Though the dusk may have set, the birds are still awake, tormenting with their loud and obnoxious sounds.

  40. The sun rose lofty and warm on the first saturday of spring. It was reminiscient of a gentle incubation lamp pulling the emotions of a long winter into the life of the season.
