She’s my granddaughter and I care heaps about her, the poor girl, bless her. She’s not the kind that’ll take up with you.”

“Please, ma’am.” He tried to soften his tone, but the panic was creeping in as he twisted his hands in his lap, a scared glance thrown at his pale, older brother. “She’s our last hope, I’ve got to, we’ve got to–if she doesn’t, we’ll be-”

    These young ones lie
    Parched and waiting for help

  27. The land was isolated from civilization. A perfect place to settle down from the rushing world. Even though the people here are have a scarcity of food and water, they get to live by. They get along with what they have, and order was always observed. Their leader, a dark man marked with tribal feathers, always solved his people’s problems by calling up small gatherings and meetings. All in all, this place is a break from the modern world, where things like chaos and war exist.
