  2. The day began like any other day. People started walking over to the Banana Silk Factory. “Nothing good comes from silk!” Says the Pastor, who has spoken about the silk for the past two weeks at his sermons. “Turn away from the darkness that is within that place of the devil! He often comes in the face of goodness and begins to speak sweetness into the ears of the willing! Turn away I tell you!”
No one listens however, and simply walk on past him, seeking the sweet pleasures that await them inside. The dark secrets of that which entices them. The call of the sirens of silk.

  6. Silk, clothes,Shopping, Money, Broke, No job, No way to pay bills, No food, No house, Singing and Dancing on the Street for money. See what happens when you mention a word seemingly as insignificant as silk?

  7. When I was a little kid, I used to spend a lot of time in my Mom’s room, usually while she was getting ready for work. She’d be spraying perfume and putting on her pearl necklace, and I’d sit on her bed and talk to her. And while I sat, indian-style, on her bed, I would pick up her nightgown from the night before, and rub the silk between my fingers. I remember that so vividly. The feeling of silk sliding against silk on my skin. I couldn’t get enough of it.

  8. soft, forgiving, what pretty ladies wear to bed,
    spun by something ordinary
like satin, but not the same
can be rough at times, but mostly soft

    by Dana on 08.23.2011
  9. I miss the way we used to talk. Its really soft. Teddy bears are wonderful. Do you remember that one time when I went to prom with you and my dress was kind of not really silky? That was fun. It was blue and white. You also told me that it looked really bad in pictures but really good on me. Your tie was a perfect match too! Soft ink likes knobs. I am sitting on a comforter made of silk. Perhaps this is a really stupid idea. Its strange, this website. Curse stumbleupon! Is this really a minute long? It fells ,like, soooooo much longer than one minute? Maybe there is a button at the bottom I am supposed to press! I am too scared to look! What if I don Totaly just checked.

  17. Silk clothing is sorta cool. A little too soft for my taste, but overall not too bad. I also think it’s a little expensive, but people pay for what they want, I suppose. In all reality, I think it’s just a little overrated, but whatever, people can have opinions, you know?

  26. The way I peeled it off. Feeling the smooth texture underneath. I wanted to hold what I peeled off in my hands forever. It reminded me of my wife’s hair tangled in my hands after a romantic night. The way it would slip and slide right through my fingers. But that corn husk told me to keep pulling cause I was the farmer that needed to keep working to feed my family after my wife passed away.

  27. When I noticed her across the room, I couldn’t help but think about how the skin of her neck must have felt softer than the silk of her dress. 29. Silky smooth. Sheets. Pajamas that you always wanted as a child, but your parents would never buy you because cotton was just fine to sleep in. Nobody sees you sleep, so why do you need to look nice? Hand me downs will do just fine, they always said. Never the nice silk hanging on the hanger at the store.

  37. What a silly, pointless word to write about for an entire minute. Silk is of course luscious and comforting and sexy, but why write an entire minute, just aimlessly thinking about silk? I have no silk in my home, nor do I care. I DO however enjoy using the word silk to describe some of my favorite foods; silky chocolate… that’s all I can think of. Silky soy milk?

    by Barbara on 08.23.2011
  38. She wanted the words
    to flow like silk

    and forgettable

Silk is silky. Siiiiiiiilk. Silk is soft and shiny. And a very thin fabric.
