The beauty that was possible because of these creatures would never be known to them, just as the naive and innocent ignorance prevents humans from seeing their true potential. 21. silk is so soft. I love the feeling of it against your skin, and it’s also supposed to be better for your hair and skin. However, it can get annoyingly hot sometimes, so I refuse to wear silk pajamas. In other terms, silk can describe the texture of soy milk. It is also a compliment to be told your skin feels like silk. Yum!

  27. It wasn’t cotton. It wasn’t knit. It felt as beautiful as anything I’d ever had in my hands, and it was mine. A silk scarf. I know it sounds silly, to be so excited about such a small thing, but to me, it meant so much. It meant that I was worth the time of picking out something so pretty and luxurious. Some girls like jewelery. Some like chocolate. I never had a particular affection for anything of the sort. I’ve always been simple and practical. But this scarf. Oh how I loved it.
