i am solitaire. alone in the world with nothing but my own comfort. missing everyone but no one even knowing i am gone. only if the one i love would recognize me, as a person, only if i could make a statement that could have people see me, instead of right through me. only if.
He stared at the cards determinedly, trying to find another move. He wouldn’t lose, not again. Methodically, he moved each card to every possible space, to no avail.
Alas, he had lost. That meant he had to resume his math homework.
Solitaire was playing on the screen. Mindlessly he clicked the electronic cards. He nodded as he watched the game. He never took in what I was saying. He never even looked at me. I’m leaving I whispered. He didn’t even see me go. He didn’t care enough to say good-bye.
There have been times when I have found it imperative to play solitaire – over, and over, and over – relearning the lesson that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
she was wasting time by playing solitaire on her computer screen. the weekend was almost here and with it the freedom of an out of town concert. she couldn’t wait to feel the music flowing through her.

Confine me. Solitaire, and solely on my own. I’ve seen this before. I think myself into solitary confinement. I restrict myself from the thoughts of practicality. I want life to be lived purely through the eyes of only mine. Seen thru this confinement.
I love the game solitaire, It occupied my mind for countless hours when I was younger. I actually still play it now-a-days, I don’t know if I will ever get tired of it. Although Xbox is much better I still prefer the classic games such as solitaire and Chess because they seriously improve ones problem solving skills.
i plugged in my computer. what was i going to do first? play solitaire? i should probably type my report. i am procrastinating, i know that. but it looks so fun…
Alone. All alone with everyone around you. But God, why are you here alone. Can you really do this all alone? Live this life alone? Be alone? Forever? Is just yourself enough to keep you going? Maybe when you are four different people. But if not, then, well alone.
Confinement. There is no horrid other. No one to fear, but the cracks in the mirror. I don’t hate the ambiguous “them”. It’s my flaws that they project that I really hate. An endless game of self-loathing. Solitaire.

I go up to my neighbor’s house and i play solitare, she’s a lovely lady, In her 80’s. I don’t visit her as much as i used to but i need to. I’m really going to miss going to her house, that was like my safe place, my get away. When That happen’s I don’t know where I will find my self. I really don’t know… :/

My mom taught me how to play her version of solitaire. You take a deck of cards and you count Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc… until you get through an entire set. The trick is to not pick up the card that you say. If you say 4 and you pick up a 4, game over.
playing this game soothes me. calms me and allows for me to settle into my homework proper. some may say i am a loner, but those people do not know me. when i play with real cards…i cheat.
See? That’s why yesterday’s “hearts” (vs “heart”) kept pointing me to cards and card games!
Solitaire. I know someone who plays it a lot. I can always hear it in the background when I call or in the next room when I visit. She also saves games at the moment of winning so she can replay the last card over and over and watch the winning “card shuffle” animation fill the screen.
Andrew randomly clicked the icons of his iPod Touch. He was trying to avoid the glare of the sour-looking woman sitting across from him. The subway lurched and he lost concentration, accidentally hitting the home button and undoing all his progress. The woman continued to glare. “Long day,” he said to himself.
This is how my days are any more, now that the nest is empty. In some ways, I love the time alone. At other times, when the days are cloudy and the SAD of winter descends, this solitary life just about does me in.
