  1. And when I looked in your eyes didn’t see it. I waited. I looked perhaps a second and a half to long before I averted my eyes and said yes. And then we finished dinner and we drove home and I called my parents and faked excitement and went to bed. I let you undress me, and I you, and let you ride me as fast and as hard as you wanted. I pretended to enjoy it. Actually, I did enjoy it. But I didn’t look in your eyes.
The spark was gone. And not just in our eyes. Our sparkling life was shattered.

  2. Nothing says little girls like the sparkling eyes of a unicorn. Who doesn’t want a pet unicorn. Tall and majestic, with its flowing mane and glowing horn, little girls fall in love at first sight. We have fused apples and pears and combined poodles and Labradors, why have we not combined a horse and a narwhale to get a unicorn.

  3. She swirled and twirled around, writing her name with the shiny ball of fire she clutched onto. Her face, the picture of angelic peace. She was lost in an old childhood memory of the days when things use to be simple. The pops and crackles of the sparkler were amplified in the tiny enclosed patio, allowing her to pretend that there were fireworks exploding all around her, as they would have be if she were home. But she was not home. And sadly, the tiny sparkler was quick to burn and fizzle out.

  4. The night sky was sparkling…brought back memories of death valley….of the letter that you wrote…but were the words yours…I hardly believe now….why can’t i feel the love that i felt them….i don’t want to believe everything was just a momentary realization…or just fake…i want to believe deep down its not so…but then why this pain…why does the sparkling stars brings a sigh…why the moon seems blinding and not romantic…!!

  7. The water was sparkling with the thoughts, dreams and words of thousands of people. They had drowned them here, letting them settle into the sediment. Those thoughts and dreams and words would remain buried until they dived in again to retrieve them.

  8. The end of the road glistened as I drove down the highway. I wondered the whole way if he would appreciate the hours on end I’ll end up driving. I then think of all the possible things that could happen when I get there. Maybe he’ll be busy with another girl. Maybe he won’t want to see me at all. Maybe he’ll be happy to see me. I pray for the latter.

  12. “Another glass M’am?”

I sigh and shake my head, loosely. Still fingering a full glass in my hand. I wasn’t in the mood to do anything, and the only reason I went to this stupid formal dinner was for my sister. She wanted back up in case the plan of seducing the host of this party went haywire. Though now I’m left alone while she spends the night in glamour. Perfect. I don’t really like her to be honest, but I guess she just wanted me here so she can brag.

I sigh again, and take a sip of the sparkling champagne.

Even the champagne can sparkle more than me.

  16. Don’t think, just write. It’s a shame when, as soon as I see the word SPARKLING, my thoughts turn to anger. Because you know what? Vampires don’t sparkle. And that’s not just me being an asshole. I actually liked TWILIGHT the first three times I read it. Then I knocked my head outta my ass, read the rest of the series and realized: 1, it’s worthless. 2, it’s poorly written. 3, it’s corrupt. As far as I’m concerned, however, it just shows me what people wanna see: a shitty love triangle. You know what I’ll shoot for in MY writing? A better representation thereof. Because if we learn nothing from our predecessors, what does that make us but insects incapable of adaptation except through the sluggish manipulation of evolution?
