  3. Oh, sports! I know zip about sports… I’m not a very good one, though I’ve lost so many times that I should be… And I can’t run very fast, or catch balls very well. I’m not a team player and co-ordination was never my best feature. Sports on telly bore me silly.

  4. Love is kind of like a blood sport. People like to pretend it’s all googly eyes and sweet talk, but eventually there will be sparring and inevitably barbs will come into play. Like a javelin thrown with enough force to take down a pygmy elephant, there are those remarks that shoot straight to the heart.

  5. Sports, never played it.
See I moved around too much as a kid to ever get a chance to join a team. So instead I learnt martial arts, now I know several different ways of killing jocks. Unfortunate, but I had to compromise, rather something than nothing. I missed out on the groupies probably…

  6. are for boys. they get way too into and that is partially why the world is not as intelligent as it once was. i understand the part of staying in shape, but not the idea of living breathing and eating for a specific sport. what happened to keeping our options open?

  7. I hate the way he sports his confidence on the hem of his sleeve, mocking my despair as I witness the crumbling effects of his love for me.

    by on 01.17.2011
  8. Sports, sports, sports. My entire childhood was filled with sports. And I hated it! I had three brothers and one sister and they were all very active in various sports. I, on the other hand, preferred reading a book or playing with my dolls. I hated having to go watch them play all of there stupid games, sometimes 3 in a week.

    by Terri on 01.17.2011
  9. I hate sports. Aside from recreational sports (like rowing and rock climbing), I have zero interest in sports like football, baseball, or basketball. What’s so exciting about watching other people chase a ball while you sit and watch them have fun? -___- Boooooring!

  10. when i began playing rugby i never dreamed of what i would be getting my life, as well as my college career into. what a perfect situation. thank god i quit student council that shit wasn’t for me anyway. rugby is the best thing that ever happened to me, i can only hope it happens to you too.

  11. Everything about the game was challenging. The energy it took to move across the field at that speed and agility was frustratingly high. The concentration it took to drown out the crowd and just concentrate on the game was mind-blowing. Whenever she would play the game, nothing else mattered. Not her parents divorce, not her recently failed relationship, not even the fact that she was still failing out of school.

  12. sports are it. They are everything to so many people. How can one topic, one genre, one competitive activity be so stimulating?

    by sjh on 01.17.2011
  13. attending a new school is always tough. i thought if i could be a part of some new group i would be accepted in no time. i wanted to join sports. they wouldn’t let me. i failed.

  14. I don’t really know much about sports as far as modern things. But I know I grew up watching and liking sports, and I played a lot of them. Many people don’t think that figure skating and dancing and such are sports… but I definitely do. Dancing is also an artform, sure, but those people have to be athletic! And there are rules… just like in a sport. I wonder what the definition really is.

  15. Is running a sport? yes.

  16. Basketball is a sport that I enjoy playing, but not watching. I also dont enjoy playing it THAT much. Im much more of a fan of football. The animosity in it, the feeling of manliness is unparalleled. I love it. I wish I could go pro, but my parents didnt emphasize the sport that much.

    by Nihal on 01.17.2011
  17. I don’t really like sports. I feel that maybe this is a problem. As a man, I should constantly be in a healthy amount of competition in order to obtain a healthy amount of dominance in order to obtain healthy women. I love healthy women, and healthy women like competitive males. I suppose I’ll have to be competitive in other ways, then.

  18. what?…you’ve gotta be kidding me…lets get some new words or i’m about to give up on this fukken program and ya’ll better word up this cuz at least it’s real talk, or should i look up the dictionary definition of this word and pretend that i use this program as a creative writer like SOME of you chumps do.

  19. Wow what a word. Sports. They’re probably, thru a few degrees of separation, what ties me to loves of my life, successes, failures and recoveries. . . All except for my last decision to go to law school. . . No wonder I fucking hate it and left after a year.

  20. fuck sports
    i don’t understand the point
let’s hoot and holler over people playing an organized game
get off your ass and play the sports yourself
    AMERICAAAA
    fuck yeah.

  21. I love sports. To watch, not to play. When I was younger, I used to play with my brothers and we would go on and on for hours playing football or basketball. Now, I just watch the occasional game, reminiscing about the days I used to play. And bond with my brothers. I guess that’s why my love for it will never go away.

  22. I do not like sports at all. I mean, I just never got into them. I’m not a competitive person, so I never saw any point in doing them. No offense to people who like them. I just don’t see a point. I much rather be reading or, hell, working out on my own. Sports just seem silly to me.

  23. Sports had never really been Rhonda’s thing… Sports medicine was generally no one’s dream job, after all; it was the medicine those people unqualified to be real doctors got stuck with. At least, that’s what her father always said at the dinner table. So how had she ended up here on the sidelines holding a first-aid kit? She blamed the stupid, smarmy, earth-shatteringly gorgeous quarterback.

  24. Is that what this is to you? Just another one of your sports, something you can view as a spectator and not actually invest in? I hate to break it to you but I’m not. I’m a human being, with thoughts and feelings just like you. Although I hate it I am attached to you, there is no way I could possibly forget you unless something whacked me on the head real hard. Do you know why that is? It’s because I love you. I actually do. With all of my heart, no, more than that; with all of my everything. When I say forever I mean it. Maybe not in the literal sense, maybe not for eternity, but I’ll love you until I cannot love you any longer. I just wished the feelings were not unrequited. I wish you could look at this, you and me, in a different way than you look at everything else. I hate feeling like you look at this relationship as a daunting task, something that must be completed without any enjoyment and that depresses me to no end. Sometimes I feel compelled to yell at you, just so I can see you be emotional about something. I want to know what makes you tick, because I haven’t got the slightest clue as to what would make you care. I wish it were different, if only I could leave you on the side of the road and never look back. I can not do that though, because I love you.

  25. They were good sports about it; they joked, they laughed, they poked fun at themselves, but underneath, they were trying hard not to break down and fall into salty tears and self loathing heaps.

  26. Most sports are completely pointless. Then there’s Quidditch. The rush of air, the skill, the freedom! I’d play all day, every day. If only it was real.

  27. colorguard is my favorite sport. and my favorite art form. it takes the muscles and endurance of an athlete but the delicateness and gracefulness of an artist. you have to be physically in shape. it keeps me healthy and sane.

  28. I used to want to play tennis when I was little, but that never worked out. Though, last summer a bunch of my friends and I played 4 on 4 tennis at my old apartments tennis court. It was really fun. Afterwards, I got in my friend Ted’s car and we went to 7-11 to get drinks. It was a good day. I really enjoyed it and hope to do it again this summer.

  29. Sports are fun, it makes us all glad to be around others. Teaches us brand new things and makes us better.

    by Renee on 01.17.2011
  30. Sports. Something that divides people into different groups. Sometimes your looked at funny if you cant kick a soccer ball, or throw a baseball. Sometimes your not accepted. It sucks too. Do you have to be athletic to be loved? It seems that way sometimes, but what I think..it doesnt matter if you can hit a ball or run really fast..that means nothing to me. Because I believe you should be loved no matter how athletic you are.

  31. One word, that’s all you can say. What happened to I love you? When did it change, why aren’t you here?

    by icedtuna on 01.17.2011

  33. I don’t like sports. I never really have. I used to play soccer and that was okay. But I played it years ago, so I don’t really care about anythingconcerning this topic anymore. I feel bad, because there are probably a whole bunch of detailed stuff on this, but I ust can’t get into it. I know there’s Michael Jordan. But when I was a kid I got his name confused with Michael jackson’s. It’s kinda sad when you think about it. I mean. Really. That’s just bad. I wonder if someone could make me like sports one day. I hope so. Um, words words words.

  34. SPORTS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR SOME TIME NOW. WHEN I THINK OF SPORTS I SEE A WAY THAT MEN CAN MEASURE THEIR DICKS WITHOUT LITERALLY PULLING THEM OUT.

    by CIERRA BRYANT on 01.17.2011
  35. Sports, The celebration of one man’s worthless superiorotiry over another’s. I hated playing it, not for any clever intellectual outcast reason, but because i was never any good at it.

    by Robert Horsfield on 01.17.2011
  36. Sports are sometimes over-rated. Although, their place in society and people’s lives does not seem to be a bad thing. I too was once involved in sports and I’m thankful for what the activity taught me. Now, I place my endeavors into other areas of interest.

    by Jesse on 01.17.2011
  37. Competitions. Sports are the civilized manner in which individuals are offered the chance to overcome and to conquer, without causing the detriment of their fellow man. They are a way to complete our inner need to struggle against and defeat obstacles in life. A gauntlet to run, in order to reach actualization.

    by pgpscout on 01.17.2011
  38. It saved my life; rowing. It pulled me out of the gutter and brought me into a world of discipline, skill and talent. It showed me that I COULD do it. I could be the best and work myself as hard as I never thought I could. Thank you, Row New York. You’ve saved my life.

  39. I’ve never really been any good at sports, and luckily I grew up in a family that was completely OK with that fact. My Dad is a band director, so growing up the arts were always what had the most emphasis in my life. Because of this I think that I’ve ended up being a much more sensitive person.

  40. Sports seem to be America’s narcotic to distract themselves from their lives. Read a book, knit a sweater, rake your yard. Anything but sit around all sunday watching pre-game, game, post-game televisions. Lets take a yearat break from
