The little kitten ran past the little metal… thing in the grass. He stopped, and went to have a look. He predded it with a paw, which muct have annoyed it, as it sprayed him, very forcefully with a huge jet of water. He leaft miles in the air, and climbed up the nearest tree.
naked. cold droplets flinging onto warm, prickled skin. cart wheel and she falls. laugh. that means she’s okay? no. laughing is sometimes easier than crying.
i enjoy sprinklers. They keep the grass clean and maintain the aesthetic value of any grass covered landscape. I enjoy how different sprinklers make different sounds and function in different ways. you’ve got long sprays, short sprays, small bursts. This is exemplified in the Simpsons
THEY CAME ON AND I LOST MY MIND, IT WAS COLD IN THE GRAVEYEARD. aFTERALL, IT WAS FALL. sO i COMPOSED MY SELF AND CONTINUED ON; UP THE PATH LINED WITH CHILDREN’S
sprinklers bring joy to children during the summer and they also keep the grass on the golf course in top shape. Sprinklers shoot water in many directions and at different speeds. They are used by gardeners, landscapers and others who need them to water their lawns. During droughts, they are one of the first things banned.
I REMEMBER THINKING HOW MODERN THE SPRINKLER WAS WHEN WE FIRST MOVED IN TO OUR HOUSE WHEN I WAS A KID. UP UNTIL THEN WE HAD LIVED IN A GARDEN APPARTMENT AND THEY HAD THOSE SPIGOT SPRINKLERS THAT STUCK IN THE GROUND AND SHOT WATER OUT. WHEN WE MOVED IT WAS THE FIRST HOUSE MY PAERNTS EVER HAD AND THEY BOUGHT NEW HOME SUPPLIES. ONE WAS A TORQUES PLASTIC BASE SPRINKLER THAT PRODUCED A SOFT STREAM OF WATER AND WAVED GENLY BACK AND FORTH. THE BACKYARD WAS BEAUTIFUL. EVERYTHING SEEMED ALMOST PERFECT.
Hanging out on the lawn with a picnic basket and checkered blanket, I sat enjoying a mid-day meal. As I looked up at the clouds, ominous and grey, I felt a rush of raindrops all around me. But the sky wasn’t dripping, the sprinklers had turned on.
My life was filled with sprinklers. The rapid succession of sharp water hitting us, the stubbed toes against the smooth hot metal, the slippery grass. We ran like this, through the sprinkler, for 10 minutes. Then we went inside and forgot.
On a hot summer day there’s nothing more fun than running through sprinklers. If you’re a child. Once you grow boobs the adventure goes down significantly. Especially in a white t-shirt. Or if you’re the only “grown-up” in a group of kids. Which is unfortunate, because it’s so hard to cool off when you’re an adult!
I sat on the lawn, waiting for her. The sprinklers would start soon. I hoped that she would drive up in her ugly Cooper, see me sitting on the lawn and tell me to get up. To come inside. To talk. Among other things.
I remembered the last time that I saw her. It had been so quiet until we had exploded. It was a terrible time for us to finally come together after so long.
And now she was gone.
I felt a sprinkle upon my back.
The sprinklers started up full-force, and I rose slowly to go inside. To give up.
sprinklers are fantastic when you are a child. they seem a nuisance once you run over one with your car when you’re learning to drive as a teen. from then on sprinklers lose their wonder. no longer do they sprinkle in our fonder hearts
I go running every morning and if I start early enough the sidewalks, usually clear of debris, if not walkers, dogs, veering old people who can’t seem to walk in a straight line, are covered with the dewey morning mist of sprinklers that rise before most working folks. It’s a little joy that if I get up early enough I can mist myself awake.
the sprinklers went off while the voice repeated “Fire fire fire fire.” there was no fire and no need for the sprinklers, but nonetheless my new gown was completely ruined where it lay over the back of my desk chair.
Running through the wet grass and playfully screaming, “It’s cold! It’s cold!” For some reason, however, you just kept going back for more. To feel that brash hit of cold water.
Sprinklers of fire corrupted from the ground as they kissed passionately. Bonfire night was a special time for everybody that year ! Full of romance, colour and fun. Its dynamic atmosphere makes everyone cheery.
my moms dog barney used to play in them and he would stick his head in it, sit in in it and do whatever he wanted, it was hilarious, because he’d get in all in his eyes and he’d shake his head and act very surprised, or get it up his nose and be sneezing for the rest of the day. barney was a very inquisitve dog. i think he knew exactly what you were feeling at any given moment.
if you were sad he’d try and comfort you, but usually his idea of comforting was staring sadly into your eyes, wondering what troubles were held so deeply in your heart. he would always do the craziest things, like wrap himself up on bubble wrap by accident and tehn sit there and stare at you while you laughed your ass off in the absurdity of the whole thing. he was almost human, like he had a soul inside that wanted to love you forever.
running through. screeching with excitement. happiness. summer snowflakes on your naked skin. back to the deck, lie down on the sun-warmed wood. then back for more, childlike exhileration. fly through the cloudless stationary storm on your rope swing, try not to get wet, scream when you do. go inside. warm, dry towel. smiling mother. best friends. icy, sweet popsicle. rest, dry off. back to the sunshower.
I was walking down the street, enjoying my normal evening walk. As I strolled down London Street, I watched sprinklers waving and dancing along the street. The droplets caught the light and shone brightly in the air.
In a daze, she walked out to the front yard to turn the sprinklers on. It was 5 am, and there was no hope of going back to sleep. The cat was dead, and she didn’t know what she would do without him, like a brother, but at least the roses would survive. The roses–maybe, for his funeral. Bab would have liked red roses.
sprinklers like sprinkle on icecream like stephens green like icecream and ducks and falling in love i look at you and i want this summer day to be forever and children and a gold watch to be the chocolate at bottom of cornetto but the sprinkles get licked off the chocolate is gone the sprinklers come on the grass is wet and we are not going to get married.

when I walked on that lovely sunny day that awfull neighbour of mine had those sprinkelers on, i got soaked, i won’t be giving him those extra buns I backed….
when i was a little kid, i used to run through a sprinkler system. it would only be about 75 degrees, so when the cold water hit my skin, it was more of a refreshing shock.
I like sprinklers. They used to give me a lot of pleasure as a child, running through them on hot summer afternoons. Our sprinkler was this old, rusty thing. Not much to look at, but it did its job. Jasmine never liked the sprinkler much, but she did like to jump in the pool at my Aunt Betty’s house. Jasmine was our dog. She was a poodle.
My brothers Daniel and David love to run through the sprinklers in the summer time sometimes i do too but im 13..

The sprinklers hissed and sputtled as they spun around, spitting water all over the lawn. He swore and kicked at one of the heads.
“You stupid things! These were my best pants!” he growled as he kicked it, only to find that the metal head was too tough for his toes.
