Water that evaporates from the iron, the stove, the tub.
We we arose the stem from our body heat arise above.

where things start and depend on it
to bring things down, cut the stem
though it, life reaches all
strong and steady, some thing you can depend on.
simple , straight forward, not noticed

stem from a tree of texts each leaf a new message from that girl back in high school I always had a thing for now coming back to grow out of me like some unsuspecting branch of outreach. Why am I all up in knots over some girl I haven’t seen for what feels like a year?

well a stem is what a plant grows off of i guess, from it spring branches leaves, etc i mean we would have no trees or plants without stems. or possible a stem is a word given to you which you are told to write about, much like the one which we are given here.

The roses bloom
as red as blood
Their thorns on her skin
a crimson flood
the flower ever beautiful
surrounded by death
she looks at the rose
she breathed her last breath
By Amora on 12.09.2009
well a stem is just a tree waiting to happen, i mean, trees cant exist without stems, just as chickens cant exist without eggs. Or maybe stem i s a word given to you which you are then forced to write about, kinda like now…

was a boy. He started as a stem. He lived as a stem and was transformed and never noticed as anything but a man. How does our beginning take us to our end? Ask stem.
By J on 12.09.2009
i think of a beautiful flower. or the broken ones on my floor that my boyfriend gave to me. then they died. then he tipped the vase over with the dead flowers in them and they have just been sitting there for at least a day now. i miss my boyfriend i wish he were here

from out of the stem or root of Jesse something wonderful has bloomed. That which was small and insignificant has borne great fruit. That which was dry and lifeless…a stem without cause, has given us life and purpose

Small stems poke through the snow in random places, signifying life from before the onslaught of heavy ice. A world forgotten until spring finds its way back to the frozen world.

The main part of a tree or plant. It is what supports or holds up the plant, the backbone. What will a plant be without the stem?
she held the stem of the glass in her hand. it twisted upwards to the crimson liquid within. she could not take her eyes of her, who did she think she was? she could contain her anger no longer and with a unexpected shattering, tiny shards of the wine glass fell to the floor. it was suddenly deadly silent in the room as all eyes darted in her direction. with a laugh of mock embarassment she turned and left the room.

BASED FROM THE ROOTS GROWING FORTH INTO EVERYTHING, THE VISIBLE CORE THAT PEOPLE BLAME, IT STARTS THE LEAVES, THE FLOWERS, THE BUDS, IT PROVIDES LIFE AND IS OFTEN IGNORED FOR BEING UNIMPORTANT BUT ONCE THINGS BEGIN TO WILT AND FALL AWAY THE LAST TO GO WILL ALWAYS BE THE STEM. IT’S DEPENDABLE IF NOTHING ELSE, EVEN AT IT’S OWN EXPENSE.

Represeting the structure of the plant’s life, the stem holds together the body of the plant. Tania felt asif James was her stem, holding together her body, her life. As she lifted the broken stem, her heart rushed to her stomach, realising how vulnerable her life was, how vulnerable her connection with James was.

A place where we can grow. A place where we can learn, live and love. The stem that supports us is you.

it all stemmed from an argument they had at work. She feklt his advances inappropriate He said it was innocent banrter between colleagues. No one knew the fight of their careers and maybe their lives ensued..

A stem is something on a plant, something that holds things up. It could also be the stem of a word. Its base. When I think of stem I think of stemming the flow of something, like a river or a flood of blood maybe? Stem and stop.
the green part of the leaf, that holds up the life of a leaf to the suns nourishikng rays, to bring it life
By danielle on 12.09.2009
It stems from the plant in a way I find fascinating. I’ve never noticed the stem of a plant before. They are quite beautiful if seen with the right kind of eyes. Vision is a funny thing.

and as the stem reached higher towards the sky she became frightened. they had always told her there was nothing to fear, but something didnt seem right. the color, an ominous green, told tales of horror and death. she couldnt take it anymore and just closed her eyes, and drifted away…far far away

stem the tide of open tears cease the ebb and flow of broken hearts and pain unmending stop the endless sufferings of innocents and the wailing of the fallen they all cry out for justice

The stem of the tiny flower was grasped in little Brianna’s hand. She giggled and blew on the flower, aiding the wind. I sighed peacefully, letting the long grass blow over me.
I was asleep for I don’t know how long. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Brianna was gone.

plant planet flower evil pollen allergies my face itches why do plants hate me so? cat’s are annoying after they eat catnip and catnip has a stem and i need to avoid plants as much as possible help
it is associated with a tree
it is the root of something, a part from which another thing or other things derive
it is source of life, or nourishment, of support
it gives as much as it takes
it is for trees but can signify many other things

It had been a year now. I sighed, remembering all the good things that had stemmed fron our relationship. Did he ever think of me when he couldn’t sleep at night? I miss him terribly and have no idea if he reciprocates my emotions.
By Rachel on 12.09.2009
didn’t i get this word yesterday?
the part of a flower or plant that holds everything together. actually, when you hold a leaf or a flower it is that thing you grab onto. sometimes i like to peel away bits of a leaf until just the stem is left. i usually try to see how much of just the stem i can widdle it down to. it’s usually hard.
By mir on 12.09.2009
flower fell off and left a stem. stemless a stalk of green, milky dandelion insides left to dry and be brittle soon to break off and only have th e root remain
By jodee on 12.09.2009
Growing old and growing strong
The root of the stalk says I
A bigger flower blossoming
From the stem of a chorded life
By Tiffany on 12.09.2009
The stem is the thing that supports the plant, but I’m looking at it and it looks fragile. Too fragile. How can a spine such as that support a life, I wonder? How can a heart such as mine support a love?
Still, the flower’s head stays up. Mine will, too.
