  3. The stories my grandmother used to tell held no importance in my life when I was a child. I just thought she was an old lady rambling about her past wanting someone to talk to. What I really wanted to do was go outside and play games with my cousins. But now as I have gotten older I see the significance in her stories. She was giving them to me to hold on to and to preserve her memory. I wish I could have seen that as a child.

  7. I tell things that may matter, that came to pass an age ago, or in a world that hasn’t been touched by human hands, because I think that humanity- which should not have that name- is universal. If we care, we care this way.

The best ending I can hope for is a neutral one. Happy doesn’t play enough of a part in my own experience that I can cheat it into something I’ve created.

  8. Story’s can unravel in many different ways. for instance if you give 20 people the start of ‘i looked out the window and saw it was raining’ you can pretty much garente that in 15 minuets time one person will be writing about zombies whilst another is talking about the impotence of fairy dust. That’s the magic of story’s summed up in one 60 second chunk.

But I’m coming to realize that those stories didn’t just happen by magic. Those people went out and DID things, talked to people, took risks. They were not on the damn internet all the time. What on earth are we doing to our brains?
