The cat plays with itself a ball of string he stole from one of my mom’s sewing box. Blue in color just like his twinkling azul eyes.

I love string. I collect it, I look at it, but I rarely use it. I don’t know why – people deserve pretty string to tie their packages together, but for some reason I hoard it for myself. Do I think there’s going to be a BETTER occassion to use it? Or am I worried that I’ll never find this particular type of string again, so I’ve got to save it? Whatever the reason…I’ve got plenty.

you can tell a lot about a person by how they approach a tangled ball of string. whether they admire the tangle, attempt to untangle it, calmly or with frustration, do they tie more knots in the string. a lesson in personality.

How long is piece of string? Long enough to wrap around my neck and pull as tight as I can until the blood starts to congeal in my veins and my eyes begin to bulge. A piece of string is all it will take…

She twisted the piece of string, round and round, between her two delicate fingers. And round it went, the bottom part of the string of which there was no contact with the fingers. Round and round and round and round. The same way the earth goes round the sun, or the way the blades of a fan move. Round and round and round and round.

I have to string together words to form a sentence. Stringing words is hard when you have 60 seconds. It’s like grabbing a certain amount of string and trying to stretch it out to have even more but its impossible when your mind can only allow so much, just like the amount of string. The string is the time. And time is never a string. What else can be said about this damn string.

bag grossery box tied up with string. Meat wrapted in butchers paper tied with string from the big ball of twine on the rack overhead. memories of a favourit uncle who worked as a delivery boy…

I like silly string. Except when it’s on the floor of Dan’s apartment and the boys expect ME to clean it up. It took forever and didn’t actually come off the gross boy-floor until he gave me a spatula thing to scrape it off. And you know what? It worked. Sometimes those boys have a great idea – maybe in the future it will extend to not allowing the karate kids to put silly string on the floor in the first place. I mean, who even lets them? Crazy boys.

the string dangled from the childs kite
not caught in the wind
hanging like the limp dead
broken and frayed, unnoticed
but totally essential to all involved
all the child wished to do
was hung on that string

String is for fishing and sewing on broken buttons and tying up shoes and fixing stuff. I hate string hanging from my clothes its nasty I always want to pull it but then it makes a hole so I need a pair of scissors but never have em so I always end up with an annoying string!
