Substance–an icky, gooey something or other, as in, I have some sort of substance on the shoulder of my shirt. Or, you could mean something meaningful, not fluffy or superficial, as in a woman of substance.
There is no substance to my life. There is nothing but hurt and pain. I wonder some days if I am even really here. If I’m not just floating around attaching myself to someone so that I can see the true meaning of life. Then they all disappear and I’m left floating in the abyss unable to see anything.
a woman of substance
won’t fly to the night.
a woman of substance
follows her heart
a woman of substance
can’t please the world
no matter how
hard she tries
the substance is to abstain.
one word one word one word. I love jesse but i’m afraid of growing tired of him. i have before, but maybe he’ll tire of me first. istayed up all night tonight for no reason. test in the morning, presentation in th e afternoon, feeling depressed, didn’t want to sleep.
Oh, but my lord, I already knew it would be substance…it’s the same as it was before but I think maybe there’s more to the word today than there was yesterday. Substance, whether tangible or intangible, can be augmented or subtracted from, and I wonder whether what I am doing is helping or hurting.
I have nothing left, the only thing that has any substance in my life are the clothes on my back. I’m so confused and feel lost and alone, how can one live in a world driven by the material with nothing of substance to lay a claim to?
There wasn’t really too much to her, he thought. At first, he thought there’d be more. Then, time came, when he was treating her like not much more than a prostitute, something to be ordered up on a whim. It had been six months since he’d last visited her place. And, even there, his feet had barely touched the ground. And he had something to say about everything from the dust on the stovetop to the painting on the wall.
I have several friends who suffer from ‘substance abuse.’ Be it alcohol, weed, proscription meds. Video games. They’re all in denial about their abuse. And they’re all highly ‘functioning’ abusers. Especially the gamers and the alcoholics. I’ve tried to help them. But how can I?
What? I wrote about this yesterday. Is this site going down? Because I need it. Sadly, I do. It’s therapy. It’s a little soul cleansing before I sit down and fill my heart with poison. It’s what I need. Don’t go away. Lover, I need you like I need to eat or drink or sleep.
what has substance, what is substance? i feel like there is very little in the world that still has alot of substance. i’d call substance somethings internal value. something of substance may not be as flashy, but is worthwile, important, and will last you a long time. it is something of quality, something of substance.
something that you can see. there is nothing more aobut it. its just there. no feeling. just a subastance. wanting something. thats all that you get from this.
there is so much in the world to see. things made of paper. things made of glass. materiality means nothing if you can’t see through to the other side. i don’t know how to see anymore. i am blinded by you. you are substance purely and only and i am nothing but the air that moves around you. breathe me. i want to fill your lungs.
It’s the substance abuse
that hasn’t taken over me.
The substance in a conversation is
the only thing that keeps me
going every single day.
Even if the mediocreness is about
usual reality tv.
Substatially speaking I have never cared much for things without it. Except of course a joke. Who could not take one anyways. Sicks and stones. It’s all about what’s inside.
substance is all that we want. who wants to be empty? who wants to have no meaning? who wants to have no value? substance is value. it’s what makes the difference between meaning and meaningless. substance is what makes things worth it.
I always wanted to write something of substance. Something that would be read by high school students who would write papers about my brilliant written substance. As a perfectionist, I’m not happy with most of my writing. Perhaps someday I’ll write the perfect substantiative piece.
Substance abuse is a huge problem in this country and perhaps in the world. Perhaps they could use a better focus on the word itself – substance – what substance? It seems better to just note exactly what the substance is – is it heroin? Is it Alcohol? Whatever it is all the people are grouped together for counseling.
AGAIN? THE SUBSTANCE TRANSPIRES THROUGH OUR BODIES, EVERYTHING FLOWS, NOTHING GETS APART FROM ITS TOUCH, ITS RELENTLESS FORM. A CRY IN THE SKY CRUMBLES OUR EXPECTATIONS, FROM THE EARTH WE TREMBLE
This substance that I have found is made of jello and rocks. I found it in a box labeled: artificial flavoring of television sets. So does this mean the televisions taste like grainy jello? Researchers, after experimenting, have found that television sets, while being entertaining mostly, are also a common desert in most Asian and Presbyterian countries. So does this make the US nuts? Probably.
I don’t understand the FDA. How the hell can marijuana be illegal for people with cancer, whose disease (or treatment) destroys their appetite, making it impossible for them to keep their strength? Who are in pain, and a simple plant – not some horrible narcotic – can help them to feel better?
is essential
however has never really existed don’t let me go now i gave you the words you wished for believe me substantial it was and you turned away
I have none. I wake up in the morning. I go to work. I do my job. I come home. Why do we push to give ourselves such purpose? Is it worth it just to have a label?
substance is the thing that most people lck these days… what do you have inside that is tangible?
what I want, the thing that I strive for, honor, integrity, respeect… not to receive those things from people, but to have them for myself, by using them in my life

I care about my life. nothing has conflicted with that.
the substance of a human being is something that requires disgust. A human being cannot exist without love and without hatred. That is what makes the substance of a person. If you pick a person apart you will see cells, body cells, sx cells, brain cells making up their appearance. This is not their substance.
