I’d never heard such an idiotic suggestion in my entire life–that made sense, anyway. I wasn’t about to admit it to this guy, but his advice actually did make sense. I wasn’t sure how to react except that usual angry way you act when you’re beaten, yelling in frustration to drown out the person who was right, to put off the illusion you’re still convinced they’re wrong.

opinion, concern, better alternative…. i dont like what you are choosing to do so i give you a better idea? hinting to someone that what they’re thinking is not a good one? suggestions means they dont like your ideas..

Can I make a suggestion? People need to live their lives for themselves, not through other people. I suggest this because it will make make the world more beautiful. Can I make another suggestion? Take the time to embrace everything that is around you. The world is a wonderful place, live life.
A suggestion is sometimes much more compelling than a straight forward ultimatum. When given no choice, one tends to stray from what someone is telling them to do. I guess in a way an ultimatum brings out our rebellious side whereas a suggestion allows us to make a decision, and yet we more than likely will follow whatever idea is planted in our head by a peer.
