    It’s a brand new day.

  16. It’s bright. It’s fun. It’s awesome at the beach. The one thing I like most about sunlight is that we have our light, and all the countless planets out there have their own light. It’s fun to think about just how far space goes. Do you ever think about it? I bet it never ends.

    by Lexi on 10.10.2010

When he should really burst into flames in it.

  24. The sunlight drifted through the window and onto her pale skin. They trailed over her shoulders with intrepid fingers and fell gently down her side. The warmth that soaked into her skin caused her to smile softly in her sleep and press harder against the pillow half of her face was buried in. Eden, sitting on the edge of her bed, hovered his hand just a breath away from her shoulder. He knew it was hopeless, knew nothing had changed, but…
    He couldn’t help but…Try.
His hand fell tentatively on her shoulder but the translucent palm fell through her flesh. He swallowed thickly and stared at his misfortune. He still couldn’t touch her, still couldn’t feel her, and she still couldn’t feel him. She didn’t even know he was there.
He drew his hand back and sharp tears pierced the back of his electric green eyes. The sunlight, a simple scintillation, could be closer to his love than he ever could.

  27. I hate sunlight. It burns. It burns everywhere. It especially burns my eyes. My poor eyes that have grown so accustom to the dark. If only I could live in the darkness, the shades of gray that have become my life, forever I would in a heartbeat.

  38. The sunlight beamed through the window. I sat at the desk, watching the glow cover everything in sight across my desk. And yet, I sat there, staring at a blank piece of paper. Of course, it wasn’t going to write itself; but I had a deadline to meet in two days. Dr. Ramirez wasn’t going to be pleased if I showed up with nothing: I was the planner after all. But this job was starting to suck. I mean, big time. The reason I even had this job was to support my grandmother. Oh, believe me, I tried other jobs — they all crashed and burned. Last one I had, I worked on an assembly line for Matthew’s Toiletries, and that was about as fun as it sounds: wrapping toilet paper, sorting it and shipping it out to companies who ordered in mass bulk.
