Sunlight filters through the leaves, dappling the ground with pale patches of gold. A fallen leaf flutters in the breeze, dancing through the air and landing at your feet.

She squints as she looks for him, sunlight in her eyes, obscuring her vision. In horror movies you lose people to darkness or fog or rain, but she is losing him to the blinding light of the sun.

The sunlight beamed through the window. I sat at the desk, watching the glow cover everything in sight across my desk. And yet, I sat there, staring at a blank piece of paper. Of course, it wasn’t going to write itself; but I had a deadline to meet in two days. Dr. Ramirez wasn’t going to be pleased if I showed up with nothing: I was the planner after all. But this job was starting to suck. I mean, big time. The reason I even had this job was to support my grandmother. Oh, believe me, I tried other jobs — they all crashed and burned. Last one I had, I worked on an assembly line for Matthew’s Toiletries, and that was about as fun as it sounds: wrapping toilet paper, sorting it and shipping it out to companies who ordered in mass bulk.

Sunlight is nutritious, bright, rich, enlightening, beauriful and needed in our lives everyday.

a glare nagging in the periphery, a radiant display of flash grenades throwing shards of glass into the corner of your eye. the sunlight peaking through the blinds that pierces your eyelids in the morning, catapulting blankets over your face.

Sitting at my desk, I read a book. Turning the pages, I feel the warmth of the sun hitting my hand as I move it through the ray of sunlight.

Basking in the glow
of a red round star
touching the horizon
then slipping below it
and it’s gone.

It’s dark- the warm, vibrant night is finally drying out. Replaced with coolness, crispness, silence. As the stars fade, they leave us waiting, anticipating. Pure patience until the sunlight meets the horizon and sets life back in motion.

We walked down the well trodden path, hand-in-hand, silent, to the sandy coastline where the earth meets the water. The vast expanse of blue spread before us. It was humbling, the two of us so small in such a large open space, alone. As the first rays of sunlight touched the horizon, Dennis dropped to one knee and I held my breath in happy anticipation.

As soon as the sun touched his pale skin, he began to glimmer and shine, like those people you see applying shiny make-up before going to a rave party

The light danced across her skin as she wandered across the open field. She’d spent most of her life in the city, and this is the first time she was surrounded by nature as far as the eye could see.

The last of the three sat in the shade, pulling up the hood on his cloak and putting it down. The sunlight blurted through the tree above his head. Does he chance one meeting with his executioner. His skin felt bubbly the more he thought about it.

I hate sunlight. It burns. It burns everywhere. It especially burns my eyes. My poor eyes that have grown so accustom to the dark. If only I could live in the darkness, the shades of gray that have become my life, forever I would in a heartbeat.

I can’t believe I’m doing this. I’m actually about to do it. It’s really happening. This… is really happening. All these years I’ve hidden, all these years I’ve been scared. I’m really going to change my life around. It all starts now. It’s happening.
I’m going to go outside. I’m going to do it. I’m going to step out into the day. Into the sunlight. I’m going to go outside and be free.

the sun was bright that day when i first met him. i can’t recall the exact place it was, but i remember his gorgeous blond hair reflecting the same color as the sunlight that day. the day that would be considered the luckiest day of my entire life.

The sunlight drifted through the window and onto her pale skin. They trailed over her shoulders with intrepid fingers and fell gently down her side. The warmth that soaked into her skin caused her to smile softly in her sleep and press harder against the pillow half of her face was buried in. Eden, sitting on the edge of her bed, hovered his hand just a breath away from her shoulder. He knew it was hopeless, knew nothing had changed, but…
He couldn’t help but…Try.
His hand fell tentatively on her shoulder but the translucent palm fell through her flesh. He swallowed thickly and stared at his misfortune. He still couldn’t touch her, still couldn’t feel her, and she still couldn’t feel him. She didn’t even know he was there.
He drew his hand back and sharp tears pierced the back of his electric green eyes. The sunlight, a simple scintillation, could be closer to his love than he ever could.

Sunlight warms my back when I’m cold. It feels like I am renewed with energy. I feel stronger and healthier. It’s as if I’m a plant getting sunlight. It makes me feel nice and warm inside and out.

Warming my soul, I breathe deep. My toes thaw on the hot driveway. They’re so cold, the heat make them tingle.

Sunlight flooded the dusty room, casting odd shadows of the canvas covered objects on the dirty wooden floor. The door was open just a crack, and a loud crashing noise could be heard from the hallway…

The sunlight is beautiful especially in the morning. I hear the birds chirping and feel the warm rays on my cheeks. sunlight is great. sunlight is what Gods are made of and sunlight is what we depend on. Gods are symbolized by sunlight.

The summer sun was fading fast as winter approached, and Phee shivered. The Sheshawnii didn’t want to think too hard about the cold nights, and the encroaching Bedlam problem. Sunlight was her hope.

It’s bright. It’s fun. It’s awesome at the beach. The one thing I like most about sunlight is that we have our light, and all the countless planets out there have their own light. It’s fun to think about just how far space goes. Do you ever think about it? I bet it never ends.

The sunlight is hidden from view today. Usually the delicious beans of sunny goodness help color the world in bright tones from the entire color spectrum but today the wold is just painted gray. I love the sunlight.

Sunlight streamed through the windows. It was blinding, but at the same time it was bliss. It seemed to her that she’d never seen a sunlight this heavenly. It was as if she were coming out of a dungeon after a long imprisonment, and just seeing the light for the first time. It wasn’t true, of course, but it sure as hell felt like it.

your heart your lips a part of my every day sight
I’m soaking it in,
Your love the way it holds me at night.

I’ll wish I was sunlight. It’s so beautiful. I feel it tickling my skin; I can feel the goosebumps from the sudden heat. It makes me smile. I wish I could touch it. I wish I could pour it in a bottle to lighten the dark days…I’ve had a lot lately.

Dawn comes streaming through my frozen curtains.
It’s the start of a lovely day, perhaps I’ll
put a sugar in my coffee,
Buy a lottery ticket for good luck.
And have a flower on my jacket.
It’s a brand new day.

It shone, how it shone into her eyes, and she was blind.
I was blind
my mind a blur with rays of loving heart
and the clouded sky
but there was a break
a crack in her smile
let there be light
my lovely ray
