Her sweater swallowed her up in it’s warmth. She loved it’s softness as she sat outside in the Falls cool breeze.

“Put on a sweater if you’re that damn cold.” I shivered under the blankets… I wasn’t cold. I was just sick. But I couldn’t let him know that. If I did, he’d never leave. And quite frankly, I’d had enough of ‘over-bearing relatives’ for one week.

girls where sweaters in the winter time when it gets really cold i’m not sure if i could really pull of a sweater i’m not quite ssure how that would look. when did sweaters get started cause some can be kinda racy this days.

I don’t have a sweater on today even though I should. It is a bit chilly out, I’m sick, and I have a short sleeve shirt on…probably not the brightest idea. However, none of the jackets I have here with me go with my outfit and I left my peacoat back at home in Virginia. I should have told my mom to bring it with her today…

everyday when i wake up and its just too cold to get out of bed.
too cold to take a shower.
too cold to wet my head.
really what is hygiene anyway.
who needs it?
lets just all wear sweaters with dancing bears instead
join me won’t you?

I had a high school history teacher who wore sweater vests a lot. They were always plaid, and they always clashed with his plaid tie and his plaid pants. Yes, plaid golf pants. In school. We all thought he was kind of cool at first, and then her turned out to be an idiot.

i want to knit a sweater for a friend but i know they wont wear it because who wears anything knitted anymore? I have a sweater that i want…but the problem is its my boyfriends. we live far and i rarely get to see him so having his sweater on makes me feel like he is always with me, arms wrapped around me and keeping me safe. Today is a cool day so i had to wear a sweater to class and all i wanted to do was go back to bed and see my man waiting for me when i got there…but no such luck. It looks like i will be sleeping alone again tonight.

sweater is an american word. i’m from england and over here we call it a jumper. and that’s a better association; jumping around and going crazy rather than sweating all over the place. urgh.
By Grace on 10.15.2010
When I was little my mom always made me wear the most horrific sweaters. They were never pretty colors, always a mixture of mismatching uglyness. I hated every one of those sweaters.

“Yes, but what does that mean for us?” I asked into my cell. Listening to his voice I watched the cars pass by outside my window. I could see the coldness of the dark night, the rain that hadn’t fallen for weeks suddenly fell down like bullets. Just a moment ago the cars had been driving towards their loved ones. I sat down on my bed, still listening to his excuses. His sweater still lay on my bed end, the light blue of the sky this morning. Then he hung up, and my tears poured down with the rain.

I wrap the fabric around you… kiss your eyes… i lift you from the tomb where you sleep and drop you into the night… the splash confiming my suspicions
My cousin bought me a beautiful hand-knit sweater for my birthday. The colors are perfect for me, and so is the fit and style. Just one problem—it’s 100%, very scratchy wool, and I am 100% sensitive to it, so it just irritates me too much to wear. :(
By Andie on 10.15.2010
Oh the winter season. It beckons the sweet, warm, embracing sweater for the season. It hugs you and lets you know that if you snuggle just a little stronger, it will fulfill all your warmth needs, and it smiles. :)

I will wrap myself around you
I will hold you tight
I will keep you warm and loved
On this cold, heartless night.
The sweater was draped over the back of the chair. The chair was not happy about this; it was not a very strong chair and could not lift more than 20 pounds. This was a very heavy sweater. It may as well have been armor, but it was entirely made of yarn.

The cat eyed it, laying precariously on the edge of the chair. The multicolored yarn thread dangled tantalizingly. He fixed it in his crosshairs.

sweater, that song that the group weezer sang. i don’t like sweater, that word, because old people like my grandmother use it.

A red sweater sits abandoned in a park. It means nothing to the owner. A fashion accessory, nothing more. It won’t be missed, because it can simply be replaced.

is warm and cozy on a cold day or night. Can be made of a vareity of materials. I particularly like cotton sweaters because they don’t scratch my skin. I used to have a red sweater that was kind of long and went just below my bottom.

“What the hell is that?” Joslyn asked. “It’s…J.H.’s sweatshirt…” I replied. “Did I not tell you to stay away from him? He’s my cousin, I know how messed up he is. He’s a sociopath–he has all of the symptoms of it. He’s just using you. You’re just a target in his pursuit of happiness.” “No, he needs me.” My lips trembled. She rolled her eyes and left.

the collar of the collared shirt peeks out
right in it’s place
just a little rumpled
and perfectly askew
it is you
it has always been you
your collection of sweaters
never without their blouses underneath
never without you

Christmas time, a time of merriment and warmth of the sweaters we don. Christmas a time a praise, joy and family. Christmas, a time of death as the white snow layers the earth.

His sweater, Blue, with white stripes, hangs lifeless over the couch. His body used to fill it out perfectly, but now it just hangs there, over the back of the couch. I can’t even remember when he whore it, how he smelled in it. I no longer smell him…

Sweaters are warm, charming and simple luxuries winter brings us. I love wrapping myself up in a warm sweater, tea in hand, and defrosting from the chill in December.

Behind the door she stood with her back to the wall and held tightly to her cold body shivering in the thinness of the blue cotton sweater that she couldn’t step out of and couldn’t find warmth in its embrace.

Warmth. Like a hug. Soft hug. Furry hug. Bury yourself in them on cold winter nights. By a fire, isn’t that the life? Red and blue and green, every colour. Knitted by grandma, isn’t that the dream, the life you wish you had?

Sweaters. I’ve never particularly cared for them–too bulky, most of the time. There was one sweater, though, my dad’s before me, that I wore nearly every day one winter. I outgrew it last year.
