  1. Under the rug. Under the waves. Swept into a pile left on the floor to step in as I traverse from room to kitchen to room to kitchen to door. I track the dust through the halls marking my path. Where I’ve been. Where I have yet to go.

  2. I’ve never been swept off my feet. In the movies they always have this one perfect guy who goes through all this trouble just to make you smile. He will say a simple phrase and you are falling, falling madly in love. This just doesn’t happen in real life. I want to be swept up by a sex god too ya’ know.

  3. I’m writing about ‘swept’; people sweet with brooms. It’s cool because you can use them to clean the house and other things, like floors in kitchens and such. Also, you can sweep things under the rug, like dust, dirt, etc. Umm, sweep like the wind sweeps away the leaves of autumn, or Fall. They’re seasons. Sweeping like mom used to make me do as a chore. To be honest, I liked it more than vaccuming. It was easier especially on hard-wood floors, such as our kitchen.

  4. the wind gracefully swept the branches across the sky. So simple, yet such majestic movement. The simplicity of nature never ceases to astound me, yet I find that I don’t take nearly enough time to enjoy it.

  5. This reminds me of something romantic like “My prince swept me off my feet.” I’d like to get married some day and sweep my bride off her feet up the stairs. I do have a girlfriend, and every time I look at her I’m swept away. It’s like my feet are never on the ground when I”m with her. She The word swept also reminds me of my job. I work at a restaurant and we always have to sweep. I think I’ve swept that kitchen a billion times since I started working there about two years ago.

  6. Windswept, the broom swept, her hair swept backwards off of her face to show her pale cheeks and determined eyes. Swept is an odd word. Like the gods wept, but without the god part and the wept felt bad so it took the s and added it to itself.

  7. If I get swept away by you again, let my feet fly from under me, then what happens when the wind dies down? When the love stops blowing me away? I fall, don’t I?

  8. He swept me off my feet with his song. Plugged the iPod in, and boom. The music starts (a song I liked a lot) and he just kept looking at me and nodding. “yea? yea? yea?” Eyebrows raised. I closed up. Smiled. Looked away. Smiled. Looked away. Yes. Yes. Yes.

  9. I was swept away by crimson tides beneath a tangerine sky. The clouds were pink and puffy as they hung over head, basking in the sunset glow on the horizon. I felt salty waves around my ankles, and sea breezes in my hair. All my troubles flew away as I stood at the water’s edge.

  10. Whenever there was a storm, she left her house and immediately took a walk on the beach. There was nothing more beautiful to her than the ocean during a storm- the hope that with every growing, crashing wave, one would sweep her out to sea…

  11. I swept the broom in the old brewery off of the main street in old England. You know, the main street right next to… writers block. The place where Harry Potter lives man, you know, like Gryffindor, the stone castles, the swamps and marshes, orcs and ogres, sorry not orcs like from Lord of the Rings, but dragons and what not, fire breathing monsters.

  12. I swept the ground. My roommates don’t sweep very often. Our floor is so messy and there are so many crumbs. I need to be better about sweeping on a regular basis and making sure our floor doesn’t get so dirty. Dirt attracts ants and other gross bugs. I hate bugs.

  20. She anxiously swept the floor, waiting. It was all she could do to keep the fidgeting to a minimum. This was the day–the day that she had been waiting for for years. The day when World War II would finally end.

The door opened and she looked up, her piercing blue eyes anticipating the visitor.

A man, tall and strong, walked in, dressed in his uniform. Pure joy enveloped her, and she ran over to greet her husband. With much enthusiasm, she leaped into his arms and kissed him with all her might. They were together again–two pieces of a whole that would forever be melded to each other.
