I was brought a beautiful breakfast tray. There was fresh squeezed juice, a bouquet of tulips and a new copy of the morning paper. The sun shone in the window and the breeze hit when the door was opened to the porch.
i used to serve food not on trays but on plates and if i worked at panera like a co worker of mine does then i would serve food on trays. and then prolly have to go over to the garbage periodically and pick up the trays that customers used and left all disgusting and then bring them to be washed and then set the up for use again. I’m really glad i didn’t use trays.
I have a tray filled with beans that sits on my lap, so that I can rest a plate on it and eat while watching TV. It’s one of two; the other went with my ex-girlfriend when she moved out of our flat.
As the gifts were unwrapping, childern were laughing, and I found myself sitting next to the cheese and cracker tray. The joy of the season just wasn’t the same without him. I had to fill a void… and that was done with the food tray.
i stand on the table with the tray in my hand, over my head, in hideous fury at the people below. this simple piece of plastic could take out all you bitches, and i wasnt afraid to use it. but what happened if i did use it? besides the usual punishment of suspension, but what would they think of me? how would i be looked at differently? im a goody-two shoes girl… do i want my reputation tarnished?
still you are here
still next to the smell of
warm cork and cleaning fluid
snakes, snake hands and best friend gell pens
I see the table’s edge
like a canyon, looming
like death. Like the future.
I took out my own heart, and put it on a plastic tray. . It was hurting, and I couldn’t breathe. . So I slit open my chest to take a look. . It took a while to get it out, because it was shattered. . I couldn’t really find all the pieces. . So I guess I’ll never be whole again. . oh well.
the world is a place of beauty an inspiration. All I can say is that if more people enjoyed doing and seeing the things the world offers. There would be happier people, less pollution and more awe aspiring acts from human beings. It’s just a beautiful place to be. :)

Tray: They are used to put things on. To serve food. Some are pretty, shiny, metallic metal, some are dull plastic. They can be in various colors.
But one thing for sure, trays are a very useful thing.
I had a plastic tray, it was red and shiny. I used it to put my daily meals on. Three times a day I would load up that tray with my meals and carry it in to the living room, where I would watch my favorite shows on TV.
I picked up my tray and scanned the cafeteria. I saw my friends sitting where they usually did, at the back. I sauntered over, all the while thinking of the other groups at the other tables. What was their gossip? Their problems? Their friendship…was it like ours?
the tray with santas salami and french bread (we were an odd italian family) was not empty that morning we didn’t understand and then realized that in fact he had been there but left some for my dad-how kind
did this one already. Nobody working on Christmas eve? A tray with a glass of milk and cookies for Santa, a carrot or two for the reindeer on a table by a chair for Santa to take a break. We always left cookie crumbs, carrot peels, and ashes on the floors to surprise our children. How will he get down through our new fireplace insert?
there is a tray on the lunch table. i cant see past the milk carton with my head laying on it’s side but i see her walking into the lunch room out of the corner of my eye. she too has a lunch tray. how i wish i had the courage to approach this brilliant woman an ask her to the highschool dance
I collect ash trays, but I do not smoke. Nursing homes have so many cafeteria trays, it leaves such a mess to clean! Can’t we use plates? Like normal home lifers do? Isn’t that what they want to be, normal?
the trays at the cafeteria are brown, sometimes blue. I’m glad I don’t have to eat their goop for another week and a half. But it is sad that I won’t get to see my friends either and have a bunch of asian kids running around my house all night -_-
i looked at the tray in my hand, wondering why i held it, what did it mean? i was holding it for an age and a year and still id id not know why. surely there was something worth doing out there, something more than this, something other than; waiting on tables.
Eating at McDonald’s. McDonald’s is depressing. And yet that makes me an asshole for assuming something like that. I’m still glad I don’t have to clear people’s trays though. People are sloppy assholes who believe it is their God given right to leave mess for other people to clean up.
We stole the trays from the cafeteria in my first year of university and tried to go tobogganing on them. We couldn’t find a good hill so we went down a snowdrift…and the tray shattered because it was so cold out.
there’s a tray for food on airplanes, and they never make the latch good, so the shit doesn’t close. you’re sitting there, minding your own business, and all of the sudden BOOM, tray falls down in your goddamn lap. I hate airplanes, and recirculated air. I hate customs too. I hate everything. Merry christmas.
She carried the tray of petit orderbs through the party. It was a thin, round, white porcalin tray. So delicate it looked like it might snap in half and break to pieces if held the wrong way
Put the food on the tray
then bring it my way,
I’ll forever be thankful
you were able to do so.
We can hiss and stutter
Along the track while
you churn the butter.
So do it again, get into it,
We’ll get into the movement.
a silver tray, embossed with the kind of subtle whimsey that only the artisans of the art nouveau tradition could skillfully devise, sat silently glistening on the stone steps, presenting nothing other than the most appetizing portion of christmas treats imaginable.

FOod trays. I love what they carry. It makes me full just thinking about it. I love the heavy duty plastic ones you see in cafeterias. Very sturdy.
