  4. I never knew I could actually end up going to jail for this. It was a simple misdemeanor. Oh what a grand job I’d made of forgetting my past. It’s finally come to strike me in the face. Right as things were turning out.

  11. Trial by fire. The planet gleams against a spray paint sky as the artist moves a blow torch across. So I figure it must be okay because he’s the artist. And the surface takes on an enameled sheen. Even so, flames linger and flicker and I wonder….will it stop?

  17. I think that we as people are constantly undergoing trial. We are judged and looked at by all of those around us, and thus that crafts social norms. But I often wonder if this is good or bad, and even if it is we can’t prevent. So I guess that I’ll remain on trial of society for now.

  31. I once stood at trial. I did not have a judge or a jury, I was simply there to judge myself. I hated everything about the cold marble courtroom I had locked myself in. I hated the tears running down my face. I was there for a murder, my murder. I had killed myself.
    I blame no one, but myself. It is my fault. I should have known that murder was wrong but I had always wondered what it was like to murder someone. Why not me? I didn’t know I COULD be punished for that.

  38. There was a jury trail. Man murdered a family. He was convicted and went to jail. He then was requesting a retrial. Got it and was proven not guilty. Turns out his son is the one who did it and he wanted to protect him. Even though he did not know it was him, maybe subconsciously he did.
