  5. I trusted him to do the right thing. That was my first mistake. I found, to my dismay, that his untrustworthiness was a big part of his personality for his entire adult life. Our lives became mired in his deception.

First, letters from collection agencies began filling our mailbox. Then the telephone calls from bookies and other ne’er-do-wells who were more than eager to loan him money and charge their usurious rates.

It is easy to lose faith in people but most are okay, trouble is one lets you down and that is the one that stays in your memory. it is better to think of the positive than the negative, but be cautious and sensible at the same time.

  34. friends must be trusted, people have to trust each other in order to have a good relationship, TV shows have main characters who often have to learn to trust or work with each other. Trust is like, a mother and their child or a working family or a kid and their pet whom they love explicitly. People describe unconditional love as love without boundaries, love that needs no limits, love that will forever trust. People should trust more often, but at the same time, some people don’t like such responsibility, of holding that person’s faith on their backs and may break the trust. Friendships are made on trust, even when a friend just says “I’ll call you back.” And they don’t, you feel betrayed because you put your trust in everything they do and in their word. Sometimes, people don’t mean to trust so deeply, but there isn’t really much you can do then. I think love is built on trust and I think that when there is not trust, there cannot be love. That’s why unlikely relationships can go on and people who fight every day can still love one another, but when you start to mistrust someone, you withdraw yourself from them so that you can’t be hurt, and that’s why people start to have relationship problems. If people were more open, would they love more deeply? Or would they love everything equally? Would that be better for that person? Sometimes, it’s hard to know what it can be, but everyone should go out and find trust on their own. When I think about being trusted explicitly, I think of my little sister. When she was a toddler, just learning to talk, she trusted me more than anyone. If I told her to close her eyes and fall-she would without hesitating, or jump into a pool for me to catch her when she’d almost drowned. She doesn’t trust me like that anymore, not at all, which is why I feel deeply sad thinking back on it…

  35. I was once trusted.
But one day trust grew out feathers,

  40. He couldn’t be trusted. I could just tell by the look in his eyes as he stared at me from across the table. His dark brown hair hung in his eyes giving them a darker more sinister look. If he ever thought it I was going to sign the papers in front of me he was an idiot. I pushed the papers away from me and began to stand. As a pushed my chair away from me he grabbed my hand with his large, clammy one.
