  1. Wands are the primary tools and magic-conjuring implements of wizards, witches, warlocks and the likes. Popularised by the Harry Potter series, wands have now become over powerful and are to be destroyed on sight.

For your own safety, and the safety of others, please report any wand-sightings to the police at once.

  2. i raised my weapon in the air. the wind brushed my face and under my breath i said the words, latin, greek, unheard of. no one knew their magic but me and my gruesome opponent. a loud light and a sharp ear-splitting scream followed my incantation. after theblue and grey freezing cold smoke lifted i saw my damage. the face of my enemy now became the terrified mauled face of my helpless victim. i was changed. and i liked it.

  3. W.A.N.D. This commonly used acronym is often used when fornacating to the Lord. Not really though.

  4. The magic wand was green….and glowed!! The wizard called forth the wind and rain with a force he had never before managed. The wind howled and the rain pelted them. All living cretures ran for cover as the forces of nature came to bear on the scene.

  5. A witch loses her wand. Where did it go? She doesn’t know. Why? Because she left it somewhere. Many of the other witches find it lame that she uses a wand. Other witches use tarot cards or potions. why a wand? She doesn’t know either. But she can’t use magic without it. She may cast her spells with her hands, but nothing happens. Not without that wand. No matter what. Even if she remembers the incantations nothing will happen. This really sucks, she thinks to herself. Now what will i do?

  6. It was not a stick. Her mother who had too little time for her, and the sister who would rather do her make-up and even the mean little boy down the street told her it was a stick. But it wasn’t.

  7. The wand was waved and all the people were saved. It was a magic wand and the good fairy had the wand. She used it to create beauty and happiness, but it had to be protected from the evil sister trying to take it away.

  8. The magic of the emperor was held in one magic wand, adorned with a golden star at the tip and a sterling silver handle. The majestic power it held, was unleashed only by the sorcerer.

  9. Harry Potters wand was holly wood, eleven inches
springy and had a phoenix feather core. No big deal that I actually remember that from the book.

  10. So, a wand. Isn’t it something that a wizard or particular magic-associated person uses? I think of Harry Potter. Or anyone FROM that, anyways.

A wooden stick, used to bring about magic into this world.

    Possibly nonexistent.

Can be a stick or something resembling that.

  11. Wands can come in many different forms and perform many different tasks. They can resemble long rectangles or oblong shapes or be a mere train of thought. They can be the fingers of a lover that travel down all pathways of your skin and trace the outline of your heart and what it does to you. They can be the paintbrushes you hold with the yellow paint traveling and bleeding on canvas screaming of the amazing day that you just had. They can be heroin needles or the ride that it takes you on. They can be the barrels of guns and they can be the silence and peace that you feel after the shot… after the violence… after your death wish has been granted. The one thing that all these wands have in common, though, is that they are all magical.

  12. I dance like the king of the eyesores because I’ve been feeling blue for a while now. The red combats that. I keep my wand in hand as I travel beyond my wanderlust and into the wonderdust of adult life. This piece has been influenced by the emotions of a sorrow song. A somber beautiful trip a solid bowling ball a rhyme once lost. And I’m happy to be where I am but sad to be where I’m not. I keep my wand in hand and try to put it to rhythm, once again failing to succeed at all the things we’ve set forth on our paths.

  13. harry potter used a wand. that’s probably the first thing anyone writes when they see this word. I don’t even think about wands at all. I’m not a fantasy buff, so it’s not a big part of my imagination. I suppose other practical things are called wands as well, but I can’t think of anything right off the top of my head and

  14. This is a magical tool used by Dumbldore. He has the coolest wand in Harry Potter. Harry’s wand is especially awesome because he has the only one capable of withstanding Voldemort’s incredible power. If I had to buy a wand though I’d buy umbledore’s.

  15. Magic wand, able to help the world. If I were to have a magic wand I’d ask for all children to be safe and happy, for everyone to play and laugh, for happiness to be all over our earth. Since there is no magic want, it’s up to me to make the magic happen!

  25. A wand was only a stick until JKRowling came along. She put magic in something that was once meaningless. Literally.

  26. Interesting how a simple stick, an extension of a being’s will, can hold so much power; that is to say, it seems nearly-incredible the way in which humanity can reallocate it’s desires into such minute pin pricks of sheer will.

    by AAAndrewdnr on 03.13.2011
  27. Wave it to and fro and supposedly magical things will happen. The reality is it’s just a frilly trumped up stick meant for fairy-tales and dreams.

  29. I remember picking up my first Harry Potter book…and hating it. I can’t remember what the first page was, but it was so boring to my nine-year-old self. Looking back, I can’t believe I ever had thoughts like that. I’ve grown up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione (HER-MEE-OWN haha) and their magic.

  30. Wands can be found in many forms. I found my wand in the form of a pen. Whenever I place my pen to the page, I don’t know exactly what will come out, but it’s real. It’s true. It’s magical because I can express myself in no other way possible.

  31. Harry Potter uses a wand. Wands usually project magical powers, although other things that could be used for the same function include staves and sometimes swords. I prefer to use a staff when implying magic. Wands are the most classical type, however, used by not only wizards in various stories but magicians as well.

  32. The wand is what a wizard uses. It is a magical device that is effective only if the user believes in it. It can create havoc, happiness, or self destruction. Without it, wizards would have to use their fingers. Their fingers would hurt from all the lightening and power that comes from it. It’s also important to not break the wand for this reason.

  33. This makes me think of Harry Potter. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. The fantasy and great imagination in the series is unbelievable. I honestly lost myself while reading those books and I felt like I was in the story. I wish I was a wizard and could wave my wand and make things happen.

  34. Today I was a fairy at a four year old boy’s princess fairy themed birthday. I wore my graduation dress, a totally dorky vintage number, that looked like something straight out of Snow White, and a pair of purple fairy wings. The other girls didn’t dress up, so I was fairly alone. Little children came up to me in the park and asked for pictures with the fairy. It made my weekend feel worthwhile.

  35. I want a magic wand. A wand that will show me my way. The way I have to go. My dreams and passions unfolding. I really want a wand right now. I’m in desperate need of a wand. A magical, beautiful, stunning, luminous wand. A wand is all I need. Show me the way

  36. He grabed his wand and ran out the door. Never again was he going to let this happen to him. He and his family had already suffered enough. It was time to end it, once and for all. He made a mad dash to where his family was being held, and blindly charged in. No longer did he have his worried notion of life and death, all that mattered was saving his wife and young child.

  38. a magical tool for magicians and wizards and maybe elves. actually no, elves don’t use wands. Perhaps it is also a tool to be used by kids for halloween. I picture sparkly magical pixie dust circulating around the wand. Not sure what it is used for, for practical purposes. Yeah.

  39. OK, what did I expect when some one tells me my Dad wants to see me , after
fifteen years of not being in my life and all of a sudden- bam I open my front door
and barley recognize him. I guess he wants me to wave a magic wand over
all those years of no show and make it right.
