  1. Sometimes we, as people, do something on a whim. I don’t personally like to. I like to plan everything out. I like to have a schedule, and when that schedule is deviated from, I get a little peeved. I need to work on that, maybe do something on a whim from time to time. It sounds like it could be good for my growth.

  2. He doesn’t know where it comes from. Suddenly he just grabs his bags and buys a train ticket going to nowhere. He breathes the unfamiliar air of lands he’s never been to, smiles at the views he’s never seen before. He loves it, he loves the way inspiration and a sudden whim take him to places he thought he’d never visit.

    Often a whim ends poorly.

  21. He’d taken the idea on a whim. It was crazy, wasn’t it? It was crazy and spontaneous, and he just wasn’t a crazy and spontaneous person. But renting a hot air balloon to tell a generically nice girl that he thought she was even more than rather nice turned out to be something he didn’t think about. Not one bit.
