willow is a girl. her full name is willowtree, but she will go by willow. i don't much understand willow. she is the total oppostire of her name. by this i mean that she is clutzy and has no taste for anything. i expect somebody like willow to be, for lack of a better word, willowy. not this willow. god she's annoying. sometimes i just want to punch her face it. and don't get me wrong, i feel bad for feeling that way, but what can i do? i really want to punch her! for instance, just the other day, she came up to me and pushed me into a garbage can. who does she thing she is? seriously? this is me we're talking about, nobody pushes me around

Willow is the image of my childhood summers.
Alone by the river, I would sit for hours under the swaying branches and watch the flow . Time drifted away from me as the water flowed to the sea. The willow weeped, for it was stuck in the bank, unable to drift and explore like the water could. It mirrored the ripples with it's tender sweeps and moved in the breeze in fluid ways, but like me it could only bend it's will. It could not fly in the face of the steady conformity placed upon it, upon me. So we became melancholy friends, the willow and me.
Until one day I learnt how to loosen my roots and run like the water had always known how to do.

Oh yeah, a weeping willow. I know that tree! Theyre cute. Kinda sad though. Good to read under id imagine.. because of good shade. Unless its one of those trees where little things fall off and hit you in the face, then i dont like it.

The only thing I can think of when reading the word willow is Mother Willow from the Disney movie Pocahantos. She seemed to be one that gave good advice and was caring of all creatures whether it be human or not. I like that they were able to form her face out of the misshapen bark that flowed on the tree.

willow won't you wander with me,
weep amongst the children of your seed
the leaves, they scatter
the branches, they stir
restless in the wind, they are but fragile reeds
willow why won't you cry for your long lost children?

Standing at the edge of the pond, the willow stood pondering the eternal question: to hang or not to hang. Being predisposed to hang, and consideration to the contrary was difficult to him.

Thick, dark night. The branches of the willow hang silently in the nighttime air. Heavy. Tired. The heat of the day weighing hard upon the very life of the old willow.
