My mom would let me only have tiny sips of champange, it tasted gross to me, but every new years i would alway take that tiny sip, it made me feel older, like one of the adults, even though i have a loonnggg way till i am one

I cast the fishing pole out to sea. The hook landed not too far away, but I didn’t care. I was just trying to create an image.
While I watched the bobber float, I remembered his death.
He had been fishing, too, when somebody stabbed my father.
