Missed word dump: booth, torch, canteen, mint
It was the height of summer when the leaves crackled against clear skies and the sun baked the freckles into your skin. You’d stay up past the warnings of the cabin counselors, slip out with a pack of hushing friends, steal from the canteen, paintbomb the really bitchy matron’s information booth, follow a winding trail through the leaning trees lighted by the sole torch that was remembered. You’d all stand in a circle and crack that one brand of mints, your teeth gnashing wide, so each of you could see the sparks bouncing in each others’ mouths. View
