  4. assisted living is not to ruin your life, it’s to enhance it and simplify it so that you can be more peaceful as you age. i still would never want to go. i don’t want to leave my home to accept help from strangers ever day. but when you fall and can’t get back up…?

  13. I was supposed to assist “the boss” with paperwork today. I knew there was something I had forgotten when I left the office. I just couldn’t put my finger on what it happened to be. I, being the bosses personal assistant, had already assisted with the coffee in the break room, the paper in the copier, and the toner in the printers.

Sometimes I wonder if people want me to help them, but I cant… I am not good at it, I am never been a nurturer its just… sad I love helping when I can though, people make me happy, sometimes.   23. we help each other when we are in tough times. There is no need to be self conscious, because in the end, we all need to be assisted in life. To be able to admit when we need help in life, is one of the greatest abilities one can have. Without it, we are lost.

  24. I was assisted by an elderly lady. I wish I hadnt been assisted by her. If I hadnt been assisted I wouldnt have fallen on my buttocks. Assisting people is awful. I dont need to be assisted. Too bad I was assisted.

  28. I assisted an elderly lady to cross the road the other day. She was limping and I asked her why, she explained that she was a nurse during WW2 and was injured whilst helping retrieve a wounded soldier from the battle field. She served her sountry bravely and I was so happy I could help her.

  32. Assisted. I sometimes wonder what its like to be assisted. To have to be assisted. Not being able to care for yourself. It seems like a sad existence. But I’ll never truly know what its like. Pretty sad on my part..

  33. Once, I assisted my friend out of a bad situation. She was experimenting with drugs and hanging around many bad people. I did not want her to screw up her life, so I told an adult about what was going on. It felt like a burden had been lifted off my chest.

  35. She didn’t need to be assisted up the stairs, no she didn’t need help opening the door to her room. The bellboy tried to hold her suitcase but she was capable, thought everyone could see it. She was a powerful woman, you could feel it when she walked into a room, the way she shook your hand, held your stare. She didn’t need anybody at all.

  38. In assisted living quarters, there are only two exits: one by death and the other by getting someone to sign a warrant to certify that you are indeed insane.
    And the second one only leads to tighter security measures anyway, so it’s really only death if you want to get out.
    Breathe in and breathe out until you die, or, if you’re smart and creative, have someone smuggle you out after you pretend to be dead. That’s the insane way of doing things.
