  1. ummm it is a group of people usually, lot’s of people usually there for one thing or person. Like an ispirational speaker or a concert or something like that…… uhhh it has to be more than one person other wise it aint an audience just a dude standing there so yea. Thats about all i know about an audience or audiences of the sort soo yea…ha.

  2. There is an audience who watches me as a gimble and smile and dance upon the stage. The clap and hiss, and wait in pregnant silence for my next-
    move.
I move, and pause, and deliver with poise. I trip over the lighting unit, and deliver the last line with apolomb. There is an audience to my silence, and an audience to my greatest triumph. There is an audience to my solitude. They are merciless in their jeers, critiques, and most off all with their applause. I cannot stand up against their constant affirmation, affirmation in things which I do not love and which I wish I could dispel from myself, and would, were it not for their constant, pervasive- clap-.

  3. a group of people. they might not even give a damn what you have to say but they’re right in front of you so they better listen up cuz you’ve got something important to say. and you might as well say it to everyone because it does no good keeping it to yourself.

  4. Shrieking down the aisle I made dying gestures as the audience stared at me in horror. Was I a part of the play? Should someone do something to help me? Is everyone safe? These and more ideas flitted throughout the theater as I began my lines.

  5. There is a saying,
“Dance like no one is watching”
    I wish it said,
    “Dance like everyone is watching”

The idea of having an audience is an aversion to some
but just the opposite for others.

  6. The audience cheered for the drummer as he drummed his way through the song. Everyone knew he was the most loved out of the band. But more than that, he was the sweetest. No one could resist his unmistakable sexiness.

    by Emmi Hayes on 03.27.2011
  7. I always feel like I have an audience. Perhaps it is paranoia, perhaps not. But the world is watching, waiting, listening to everything I say and do. As if my life is a stage, a theatre of the freakish variety. The world is my audience. Mine alone.

    by Jane on 03.27.2011
  8. As the audience stares in aw over the spectacle of the Ballet of Swan Lake. The dancers
seem so magical to the little girl sitting with her Grandmother .

  9. I love it when I have an audience for my writing. It makes me feel appreciated. It encourages me to write more. Reviews are always appreciated for my stories on fanfiction.net. I got two positive reviews from the story I’m working on right now about Grell from Kuroshitsuji- it’s better than winning an Academy Award! Audiences rock!

  11. All the world is a stage they say. Boy I do feel it more thimes than not. I enjoy making people laugh. I seem to have found my audience in the wonderful World of Warcraft. I’ve made many friends and a great little family there in our guild, Draumaless. Led by Eli, IRL (In Real Life) Kelly, this group of merry men and women save the world in the realm Ysera every day from monsters, men and mayheim all in the name of the alliance and protecting bunnies worldwide. I am Ange, short for Angenavive, a level 85 warlock and the heart of Draumaless. I’m also an officer, banker, and parttime comic relief for the the guild. I pride myself in being kind, fair and a somewhat flirtatious soul each and every night. I even met my IRL husband there over two years ago. Anyone who says a computer game is not a way to spend you life, has never played WoW. I started it to escape the circumstances of my life and I continue it because of the friendships I have made worldwide IRL with people who are basically and interactive audience.

  12. An audience watches. An audience spectates. They witness and they judge. And many people say they hate an audience, but nobody is entirely disinterested in what the audience says. They’re just afraid of it, I’d say.

    by Julia on 03.27.2011

  15. I stood infront of an audience for the first time when I started playing the flute in the fifth grade. It was terrifying because I had never played a solo before. I stood in front of my friends and family to show them what I had learned in the past six months.

  16. The show is about to begin. A million people wait for me on the other side of the curtain. Someone in the audience coughs. I work my feet through my pointe shoes over, and over again. My brain goes fuzzy as all of my thoughts drain into my throat- a lump of nerves. My hands are shaking. I know I’m going to bomb out. Suddenly, the music begins, and the steps become clear in my head. The curtain opens. This is it. I close my mind to the world around me. The sea of faces fade away. I’m dancing.

  18. It’s like being dipped in hot wax and then left on stage to alternately melt and solidify…one moment you’re burning under the lights, and the next you’re stiff as a board, unable to move, with thousands of eyes on you. But when you put the reed to your lips, you play for yourself, for your own emotions. There is no audience. The audience is you.

  19. Audience scares me. All this attention on me. It makes me want to crawl up into a ball and roll back into bed. I’m not used to audience.

  20. Audience. Im thinking of movies and thought about how i just had to repeat and delete just now. embarrassing. I think of how katie and I always says were the fucken audience when we are at the octagon. Im going to miss this house way too much after college. :(

  21. They’re all there watching. And he knows he shouldn’t, but he looks for the one face he’d like to see, ignoring all others, not that they’d notice. He is singing and moving, doing his job, but he sings the words more strongly than ever; if she’s there, she’ll know. If she isn’t, maybe he’ll summon her.
Because she’s the only reason he’s here.

  22. think about audience. but you don’t want to be a slave to the audience. so you’ve got to carefully choose one so both you and the audience can feel happy about your performance, whatever it is (singing, acting, writing).

    by Kaorita on 03.27.2011
  23. Without an audience there can be no applause….
on the other hand no one will jeer either.

  24. The audience was empty because nobody cared that i was going to preform, which is of course a metaphor for my life as nobody cares about me and im so depressed that i looked for ways to distract myself on the internet and came up with this website… Its pretty pathetic but hey thats just the story of my life…

  25. The audience was made up of older persons wearing coats of heavy fur and pearl earrings. They sat with their legs crossed and made the occasional grunting noise in disbelief of how unfunny the stand-up comedian filling in for the philharmonic was. “What is this dribble and what is a douchebag?” they scoffed.

  26. The audience sat stunned. Never before had anyone heard something so provocative, so powerful. It was not only that it was so controversial, but that it was so much imbued with truth.

  27. The audience watched as I stared out into the distance, the words building in my mouth but not coming out. I could hear them laughing at me, and feel their stares upon me as the stage fright wore off. Why was I doing this, I knew it wouldn’t end well.

    by Maddy on 03.27.2011
  28. The audience applauded as the magician bowed deeply. As he rose, he snapped his fingers and a top hat materialized in his hands. He reached in as the drums began to roll, and to the astonishment of the audience, he pulled out the rabbit.
It died of malnourishment earlier that day.

  29. The audience sat in anticipation as the curtain of satin rose on the stage. It was to be a performance of the century, but only Ann knew what was about to occur.

    by Reid on 03.27.2011
  30. All I think about is standing on a stage, looking out into the audience and thinking “wow, i did it, i really did it.” Not embarrassed, but proud. All of the people staring at you, and you just feel completely accomplished like nothing can go wrong. The lights are shining and so is your smile. The audience is in awe with you, and it feels so good.

  31. theres a crowd thats watching a show and they cheer and they boo and they stuff their faces with buttery popcorn. The movie comes on but it’s really nothing special – just a bunch of overpaid, self-absorbed celebrities prancing around on camera. The audience knows better than this, storms the box office and demands a refund.

    by Casey on 03.27.2011
  32. The audience is there. A thousand pairs of eyes. Watching, waiting, anticipating. You feel their eyes. You taste their judgement. But every eye. Every pair does not care. They do not judge because you do not care about their judgement. Be free! Dance! LIVE!

    by Rachel Helten on 03.27.2011
  33. The audience was cheering so loud I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. Before I knew it, tears were pushing past my eyes onto my cheeks. I’ll never understand why, but they did. It was at that moment when I knew that this was my fate.

  34. ell, an audience is awesome. They applaud and clap and they cheer when a comedia nor actor or speaker amuses them. They also sit in movie theatres, tv shows, school

  35. The world became a stage and we were all the audience, and culmination of minds, curious, daring and feeling. We watched the world go by and we waited for it all to end.

    by Sam on 03.27.2011
  36. An audience. Billions of heads with overshadowed bodies, sitting in chairs before the stage, eyes watching, waiting, judging. Chins lift up, eyes look down; each head bobs in different ways.

  39. The audience was restless, having waited for nearly an hour to see their favorite performer. Then the curtin parted and out of the shadows she stepped and her fans went wild with excitement. She smiled to think they had all turned out to see her and was now ready to put on the show of a life time.

  40. There is no audience for me tonight. I’ll cook, I’ll clean, I’ll dine and drink and celebrate in my own way, for me and my joys. Without an audience. Without people to entertain, to cater to, to change for, so I may enjoy as I want to, in my complete and own style.
