  1. bands were born and bread with in those walls
    each brick had a scar
    the foundations crumbling
    as the bricks wore away

The Beatles are my favorite band I think bands are better than single artists because you can enjoy all the different personalities and sounds of each different person if I were in a band we would probably play either country or rock music because I am best at singing those kinds I would like to be one of the singers or a bassist because I like the sound of the bass and peoPle tell me I have a good voice.

  9. We could hear them closing in on all sides. Although there was no sight of them yet, you could sense the ominous events that were about to take place.

A lone howl from the right, a low growl from the left, rustling behind us, snarls in front. We were helplessly cornered. We were going to have to band together, arm ourselves as best we could with rocks and sticks, if we intended to make it out of the woods alive.

  12. a band can be something you wear on your wrist, which is normally given out at club events but more commonly at festivals. these types of bands often pay as a rweminder of the times spent at events and are seen as collectables to some people.

  13. The band of life prevails. All of our follies and glories add to nothing when the sun breathes into the sky its triumphant song of creation. When we seek to open our civilization to that song, all that is shall dissolve into the formless eternity.

  14. there are lots of great bands about making really orignal music. The thing about a band is often the music they produce is orignal and written by them which makes them true artists.

  15. I’ve always wanted to be in a band. Not in front, like the guitarist or the singer, but in the back as the drummer. Drumming is so complex and it feels like a heartbeat; the life force of the band.

  16. They were close. All of them. All nine. The bonds felt unbreakable. Yet at the same time, they knew they were fooling themselves. Had they not been such misfits, such broken human beings, many things could have pried them from one another. Yet they were, so they clung together.

  17. that was unusual, she thought. they hadn’t seemed together, though when they were lined up in the middle of that dusty street it was obvious. 8 of them, you could see the family resemblance even though they were all their own men. the drunk was most obvious.

  18. I wore this band on my wrist, like forever. It wasn’t a silly affiliation to another ‘band’ or another ridiculous ‘Save Darfur’ statement which people lie to be passionate about. It infact is my lifeline, I wear it to saw that it is strength that survives cancer, and life.

  19. The stage band played a familiar tune, soaring through the clouds of Joseph’s mind and past the mists of time.

  20. Band is a group of musical people. It can also mean rubber ‘band’. There are different bands, Color Bands etc. Band is something stretchable. Band baj gaya, is a popular hindi phrase.

  21. Everyone, well most people in my school thinks the band sucks. They didn’t want the band to go to the 8th graduation because they thought they don’t play well. Whenever we head back to the girls’ locker rooms from gym, we always pass by the band’s classroom – and we would only hear off-keys and screeches.

  22. songs, bands make songs, awesome songs…………….

    by vanessa on 07.28.2011
  23. Everybody knows that girls just want to bang guys who are in bands. So just make up a band to be in, give it some ridiculous name, make a thread on 4chan to choose the name for God’s sake. And always play lead guitar. No one cares about the bass player, and unless you’re Mickey in the Monkees, no one cares if you play drums, either. Although the Monkees were a really unique set-up, because Davy Jones, who played NOTHING for their band, was the most popular sexual icon of the group. Oh well. Bands are not as “rad” as everyone makes them out to seem.

  24. I want to learn how to play the saxophon. Not for now, not for playing in a cool hipster band. No, when I´m like 85, I´m gonna play in an oldtimer jazz band with other eighty year olds and I´m gonna have a blast.

  25. When we were going to school we would band together and visit a pond that was on an open property not far from the school. We were warn of the consequences of going into the pond.

  26. I have never felt such bliss in my life until I watched my favorite band grace the stage. The music was blaring and I knew I wouldn’t be able to hear for a week but I didn’t care. The music was pounding into my heart and feeding into my veins like a life force keeping me going in the crazy world.

  27. I’m not in a band, though I’d live on a tour bus. Like the one lived in by Dead 60’s. I saw them at Mississippi Nights when I was 16. Their singer signed my “I HEART NY” T-shirt, and I hyperventilated. He was so cute. My reaction was futile.

  28. A band is the group of people formed together, like in a musical band. The rock out gigs.

  29. at the end of the road in that dear little suburban house in the sleepy suburban village where I mysteriously and in appropriately washed up for a few years was a parade of shops, a rather good Indian restaurant, a passable sort of grocery / sweetshop ( not nearly as good as the Indian open all hours further down the road), a very busy and friendly bakery ( “you’ll miss that bump” she said to me a week before my son was born), an osteopath, that I thought I would never need, but one day did- (even though he ‘cured’ me I’ll never go back, I didn’t like the ‘crunching’). Any way, that’s where they stood at Christmas time at the annual Hampton Hill children’s Christmas Procession ( with traditional dog fancy dress- I will never forget the doberman dressed as Madonna). They stood in a arc, playing carols all evening for the revelers, dressed in their wonderful Victorian costume,, the brass of the trumpet, the trombone, the tuba, the cymbals, reflecting the sodium glow of the streetlamps. Once in Royal David’s City, In Dulce Jublio, Away in the Manger, Silent Night. Bitter cold and scratchy wool scarf and mittens. They brought tears, they always do the Salvation Army, I really only have to see the uniform. They do wonderful things in their strange, sombre, regimented way. How can people so utterly other than myself, me with my pagan spirit and jupiterian openess to spirituality of east and west, me who looks daily to the Kuan Yin and Lord Ganesha, who sees and hears the dead, how come they touch and move me so deeply? Its just Love I suppose. It always is.

  30. I want to form a band. Not just a regular band. But a band of incredible and dubious men and women who make music because they love music, not because they just want some hobby to do. I want to live and breathe music with them. In one breath all together with them.

  31. she wrote words instead of music and words
her fingers lingered too long on the page
than on any string or key
her rainbow wrist bands catching the pen
    keeping it on a comma

Years later, the bands were cut
a scissor’s arm between rubber and vein

  32. She had two ponytails pulled up on top of her head and tighly wrapped in thick elastic bands. It was as if a giant had reached down, grasped each bunch of hair and with a brush roughly pulled it up. At each stroke the brush would almost lift her up, lengthening and straightening the curls, until her head was like a ball and the hair finally snagged in the elastic fell long and smooth to her shoulders.

  33. There they were, a band of losers against the rising tide of criticism. Their mothers just sighed at them now as they held their hands together to defend themselves against the tide, because they knew just as they and the rest of the world did that not one of them would ever float to the top in the end.

  34. rubber! ball, band, sheet……the humiliating red rubber sheet. Bedwetter, stinky, baby. Not really red, but the same colour as that red brown cheap fence paint, somewhere between orange and red and brown and somehow brighter than it should be, chemical looking, harsh on the eye….

  40. there was once a band of magicians who decided to change the world… the only thing was that the world didnt want to be changed… so the band of magicians set off about the universe to descover a cure. they just so happened to come across a lake that had no bottom, the lake was full of mysteries and was known only by the most advanced of beings and used for its expance of knowledge on all things that are. The magicians spoke to the lake asking for the answers to change the world they loved so much. The lake gave and explosion of light and threads of information streamed into the magicians minds, filling their souls to the expanse of all that they were. The magicians, although did not understand completely what they had been given, trusted that somehow it would help them.
