I already wrote a thing about beginnings. I’m just trying to sign up on this darned site to begin doing this clever little freewriting thing with words other than BEGIN. Everything has a beginning though, right? For example, this is the beginning of my procrastination on studying. Horrah.
Beginning of beginnings. What do people do about that? I don’t even know what I’m saying. This is really stressful. That’s because it’s the beginning of this little…thing that I’m doing here. I just stumbled upon this, and so begin my journey into the stressful land of freewriting about some random word that pops up on the top of the screen, and so I am forced to write about it for sixty seconds. Hey! Time is almost up. This was the end.
Being. My palms start to sweat and my heart starts to beat fast than a race horse.
I am so unprepared for this.
Should I just run out?
Many thoughts go through my head. This is the exam that could change my life.
i begin this story thinking about nothing but food. food food food. im so hungry. i can smell the food cooking in the kitchen. i wonder what’s for dinner. im so hungry. i just want a snack. im so hungry. feed me please. im so hungry.
Relax. It is only a sheet of paper. It may be blank, but it is ok. The blank ones are the worst, maybe I should get lined onesss-no, don’t screw yourself up. Breathe. Now un-clench that pen and grab a brush. That should be better. Dip it in the black ink (black is very morose, but such beauty) and touch the paper with the first stroke.
Beginnings are not simple, they are challenging and difficult and often scary. Yet no matter what we unknowingly, unwittingly dive into one every single morning when we awake. We push back covers and face new days, new beginnings, and new moments in which we will learn and thrive.
Where do I begin? In the middle sounds good. So there we were sitting side by side in class. Desks pushed up together… I’ve never been this close before and I couldn’t help taking in the smell of cologne. It was toxic. I had been addicted to that smell since our story began.
It didn’t matter what I did in the past. It didn’t matter what I was likely to do in the future. It didn’t matter I was likely to mess up, to do all the mistakes of yesterday and yesteryear. What mattered was that I was here, here, living in today. That I could do something I didn’t do yesterday. And with that I began my day.
I’ve started a life, in the middle of my life. I don’t know where it is going, I don’t have the option to turn around and go back. Every day, I begin. I open my eyes to a new day, and start a new life. Every day.
start. or you know that thing you do before you end. it truly is amazing. without it… nothing would ever happen. holy shit. that’s crazy to think about. without those 5 letters were useless.

As I begin to descend into the life of an outsider, I become depressed. My friends begin to leave me, one by one, to fend for myself and my opinion is ignored even at the dinner table at home. I have become a shadow of who I used to be, I decide. I am beginning to become invisible.
treacherous waters shook shake waves and earthquakes. we sat sliding on a sailboat, wondering if nixes, sea serpents, and mer-people awaited us. we smiled, content. this life is nothing without and end, and the end is only the beginning.
The start of life, the start of a romance, the start of the life of a child. Your married life, a life with children, a life of poverty. They all begin somewhere. Just like you began somewhere and became who you are.
