334 Entries for “believer”

  1. What does it take for one to actually believe? I have always that it requires the want to believe. Those crazy christians? They think you can just force your beliefs on someone but it really doesn’t work like that. To believe in anything you have to be convinced it is real because otherwise, you are just pretending. But who doesn’t pretend from time to time in hope that they will be able to convince themselves?

  2. I’m a believer in myself. I believe I can do anything I put my mind to. I believe that persistence and determination pay off. I am a believer in all good things come to those who wait. I’m a believer in God helps those who help themselves.

  3. I am a believer in many things. I believe in hard work, caring for people, being nice, having fun, and love. I believe in drinking, sex, and light drugs. I believe in children, religion, and good people. I am a believer of many things. I believe this is a good thing!

  6. i wish i was a believer. People have dreams every day. I used to have many dreams, but all have faded away after certain events in my life. I am not a believer, i don’t believe.

    by Mariah on 12.09.2010
  7. Yes, I’m a believer. I reach for the moon, not the stars ’cause then if I miss the moon, I’ll land somewhere among the stars. If I shoot for the stars and miss I’ll land in the clouds, which are close to the ground.

  8. My parents are believers….believers of things others would view as downright ridiculous or downright interesting.

  9. Believer. I used to be a believer. Or I like to think a pretend believer. I wanted so badly, it had never been a part of my life. But then, I realized, it wasn’t me. I never had god, and never needed him. I wanted him to fit in. But he didn’t fit into me. I’m a good person. I have excellent ethics and morals. But god and I do not get along. or maybe it’s more so Christianity and I do not get along. I haven’t decided yet. I like to think that I represent a lot of things “Good Christians” represent. and I like to htink I don’t represent a lot of things “GOod Christians” represent. Does that make sense?

  10. I believe in walks for miles,
in the quiet flutter of a smile,
in the candled wish of my spent breath,
and the everlasting certainty we end in death

  11. I believe in Santa Clause! I mean, people say he isn’t real, but he totally is! HE TOTALLY IS! :D I also believe in the Tooth Fairy. Why shouldn’t I? :)

  12. The stars twisted in a cosmic whirl in front of my eyes, obscured only by the white clouds of my breath. Here I could gaze upon the wrinkled face of time.

  13. I don’t believe in “beliefs” any more. I spent too many years as a “believer.” I’m more interested in ideas than beliefs, in questions than answers.

  14. I wish I could say I was a believer
But the easiest thing to be in this society is a doubter
I mean, come on, he rose from the dead?
He made the blind see, and on water he tread?
I can walk on water too; until i sink
I can start to believe but other speakers
say things to make my scientific mind think

  15. “The best part of believe is the lie.”

  16. I was once a believer. A believer of dreams, fantasies, reality, love, and truth. This was all shattered when she came through my door however. She told me of the death of the man that all my belief had been reliant on. My beliefs were shattered, and I were to never be the same again.

  17. Yeah I can say I’m a believer, faeries, trolls, monsters pretty much anything that goes bump in the night an can also cast a protection or invisibility spell on occasion. I also believe in God, and the gods of mount Olympus, Harry Potter and Charlie Bone.

  18. I am a believer in myself. I believe that I can do anything that I set my mind to. A lot of people feel the need to believe in an invisible man in the sky. I believe that is just how they deal with not knowing about what may come after death.

  19. I though love was only true in fairytale slalalaaaaaaa, or for someone else but not for me.

  20. i am a believer in love above all things. if you can love something, anything is possible. you can forgive the unforgivable. you can have hope when all hope seems to be lost. you can see when all others are blinded. i believe that anything is possible with love.

    by Bethany on 12.09.2010
  21. Believing in something doesn’t make you a believer. I could believe in everything and that would make nothing real. I wish I was a believer in love. That is the best thing to be. If you believe in love, there’s nothing that can change that. You have the strongest power in the world. You are capable of anything, but you know what you want, and that is what you chase, it’s what you love. I want to believe in your love.

  22. *Then I saw her face, now I’m a believer* The words echoed in his mind as he thought of her and he couldn’t help laughing. What will his friends think of him now, the 180 he’d gone through? Practical, feet-on-the-ground (they might say sullen). “Such hogwash, only in the movies,” he’d say. A staunch ignorer of Valentine’s Day (though he was sorely tempted by the abundance of chocolate). That’s how he used to be.
Now? Well, now there’s *her*. Now there’s dreaming of her, always thinking of her, resisting the urge to write songs about her. Now he pays (a little) attention to V-Day. Sometimes he’ll take a step back, shake his head, *what’s wrong with you?* and then go right back into it.
They’ll never let him hear the end of it, he knows. And he’s so far up in the clouds that he doesn’t care.
    *I’m in love, I’m a believer, I couldn’t leave her if I tried*

  23. is a person whom is holy, or has a passion in others and themselves, everyone should be a believer. lol my father is a believer in the paranormal and loves ghost hunters.

  24. Believing is for those who have given up on thinking and asking about uncertainties. it is much eaasier path but more humbling to form ideas.

  25. The path to true happiness is to be a believer. Not necessarily in god, but to have the ability to believe in yourself. I believe I am happy, with all my heart, thus I am happy. (Mind over matter). In any situation, the truth is what you believe. Whether right or wrong, your belief is the truth (for you). If your husband cheats and you 100% do not believe it, then it’s just as if he didn’t cheat. If you believe you are beautiful, or incredibly smart… then you are. There’s no need for any outside interference when it comes to you.

  26. A believer believes in something regardless of facts. A skeptic, however, questions everything they see. Who is right? Who is wrong? Who knows. It’s all a matter of perspective.

  27. Everyone is a believer in something, whether they no it or not…. even atheists are believers, I’m a believer you’re a believer, we all just believe in different things. it’s funny how that can start war… just believing in different things c=that could even be the same thing.

  28. I am a believer. I believe in living life to it’s fullest, to going at everything you can with everything you’ve got. I’ve seen too many people gone too soon, too many people have regrets, too many of everything. I believe that in the end, life will be ok. As long as you let it be.

  29. I’m a believer in love and life but sometimes lately it’s hard to remember that. I spent the last week believing I was pregnant and now I’m not. I don’t know how I feel about it. If it’s good or bad.

    by Emilie on 12.09.2010
  30. In Emily Dickinson’s years at religious school, girls were broken into two catergories: “hopers” and “no-hopers”. Emily was placed in the latter.

  36. i’m not one of them. truly, I wish i was. i envy them, with their ability to believe in something that couldn’t possibly make sense. They guy i like right now is one.. and i don’t want to lie to him and tell him i just don’t, just can’t but i think that would hut him too much. i want this, i want this bad but i had to change to get it and i don’t know how long this change is going to to last.

  37. I’ve loved everything about the idea of being a devout believer for as long as i can remember. I make fun of kids my age who are committed to God, but to be honest, I envy them. If I had that kind of implicit assurance of a greater being, I think I’d be in better shape than I am now.

  38. Well I saw her face, now I am a believer. That is not me, just the monkees. I like that song and when they sang it in Shrek. I am not the biggest fan of Shrek though, because there were too many sequels. No thank you.

  39. A believer is the one kind of person who knows that there are no such things as boundaries.

    by Chelsea on 12.09.2010
  40. I am a believer. Everyone believes in something- and I believe in plenty. I absolutely am ashamed to admit that I have no set religion, but I will admit that I KNOW I believe in more than one God. You can’t expect only one person to control this giant place we live, can you? I don’t think so. That’s just weird.
