i sat on one with my first boyfriend after he asked me out. we looked out onto the water and talked about life. i never knew that i would remember that to this day.
I sit on the bench with him. We each lean in and embrase. The love surrounds us and we kiss. Fireworks blast off into the dark sky and we kiss again. I float as if I’m on a cloud all the way home. It all started with a bench.
The little wooden bench sat nestled among the tall green trees in the quaint little park. It was surrounded by blooming flowers. The sun shone from the sky, creating the epitome of beauty and a welcoming seat to anybody who passed by.
He was quite early. The sun was shining. He felt in high spirits. As he sat on the bench in excited anticipation, he waited and waited and waited. She wasn’t going to show up today, obviously.
Sitting on the cold wrought-iron bench, she swivelled back and forth. To those around her, it appeared she was searching for someone. And she was. She was on a desperate hunt for Anakin Skywalker, because as her dad put it, “Only a sweet little girl could keep him from the Dark Side.” and she just happened to be a sweet little girl.
On the dank somber evening of February the twenty-third the park square of the city of Quest was all but barren. Across from the clock tower which stood proudly at the exact center of the square was one of many benches surrounding the park. On that bench sat a man in a white coat, his face concealed by shadows.
wooden planks, horizontal and vertical, soft edged, slightly damp after the rain. moss clinging to lower parts. names inscribed. date of birth and death.
I sit in the park on a breezy fall day, watching the red, orange, gold, and brown of the leaves falling down around me like rain. The sun filters through the leaves, giving everything a rich, bright hue, the hue of happiness. I listen to the twittering of birds, the chattering of squirrels as they warn me to stay far, far away. It is beautiful.
a bench is something yo sit on, you can sit on a bench when you feed pigeons or any other type of bird. more than likely it will be pigeons because there are far too many in britain, but tis still nice. they still get bread.
A bench is also a type of clothing brand, usually worn by what we name today as ‘chavs’.
Benches are fairly adorable. Such a simply concept to take a load off on a wooden seat. They aren’t the most confortable of lounging furniture but they do make any outdoor setting a tad bit cuter.

Above the bench of the United States Supreme Court is a frieze of sculptures depicting lawgivers throughout history. Hammurabai, Moses, Aristotle . . . but the one that may be most surprising these days is the larger than life sculpture of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. With all we hear about how Muhammad may not be depicted in lifelike form, there is his image in its proper American place above the bench, together with other historic lawgivers.
Bench pressing is probably the most difficult form of popular weight lifting out there, at least for some people. But when you think about it, if a 66-year-old grandpa (e.g. mine) can bench 600 pounds with no drugs, it isn’t that hard if you’ve been doing it for a long time.
I never ever use these when I see them I walk right past them the only time I ever use them is when I’m really tired of running which is hardly ever cause I’m not in P.E. :D

The Supreme Court and all its members are large in our civic imaginations. So when you go to D.C. and visit the Court and sit in the gallery for an oral argument, it is a little shock to see how modest the courtroom is, and how low the bench, and how close to you the justices are.
Park benches at sunny days, one of my favorite places to read, watch people and imagine how their lives are like, take pictures and even write.

benches are bolted to the ground in restraunts and parks. i saw one made from recycled plastic. wood ones are bendy and plastic ones are icthy.
