  4. I bowed as deep as the full skirt would allow, cringing when I heard my knee pop underneath the dozens of layers I wore. The air in the ball room was stifling, with no breeze to stir a fresh breath for any of the hundereds of people in the room. My face was red, I was sure, and I wonderd if the prince thought my blush was for his benefit. The truth was, I’d rather have been anywhere than in front of the throne, bowing before the handsome heir.

  8. They come in many shapes and sizes. They are all sorts of colors. Oh how much I love bows. I can wear them in my hear or I can put them on a gift for someone to enjoy. They make everything so much better. Bows what would we do with out you.

His breath had never sounded so hoarse before. “This is it,” he thought. “Just this last one and then I’ll never have to kill again.” He let go and collapsed, letting out a sickening wheeze as he hit the ground. He opened his eyes and saw blood. Someone approached and although he no longer had the strength to look up, he knew who it was.

  11. The bow in her hair was white with a blue gem in the middle that sparkled whenever she moved. Jasmine was only 6 years old at the time, but being the flower girl in a wedding was more exciting than anything in her mind.
    “Mommy, look at my pretty bow! Princess!” She called out as she danced around the dressing room.
    “Yes, darling. You do look quite like a princess.” Her mother watched her fondly, proud of the bursting energy her daughter carried.

  13. I have this image in my head of me as an archer. I’d pull back my bow and launch my arrow from a hidden patch in a hill. Then I’d sling it over my shoulder and dash through the woods at the completion of my quest. I picture myself as an archer in medieval times of course. With today’s guns what is the point of archery?

  22. It all depends on if this is a noun or a verb. The noun “bow” makes me think of Christmas presents and Minnie Mouse. The verb “to bow” makes me think of an ancient kind of royalty, where you bowed face down on the floor to show your respect.

    “The flickering one?”
    “It’s probably Orion. Can you see the bow?” I giggled in response.
    “Ray, you idiot, its an aeroplane!” I put my hand over my mouth to try and stop laughing. “It’s moving!”
    “You can’t please girls these days,” he frowned, clasping his hands behind his head and laying back onto the stone.
    “You’re just iffy because I’m right.” I lay back and gazed into the deep, velvet sky. Stars came out cautiously as Raymond and I rested in a comfortable silence. This is what I needed, my rejuvenating mind-drink. Just to be with a friend. No words, or distractions, nobody else but us.
    “Are you still mad?” He spoke softly, and I knew he wasn’t just talking about the food. I contemplated the situaton before speaking.
    “No. Not really. Just sad.” I smiled remorsefully. “But what’s done is done right?” He leaned over and took my hand.
    “He’s concerned, and apprently has a reason for why he did it.” I simply raised an eyebrow.
    “Really?”
    “But they both won’t talk. They said they’ll only talk to you.”
    “Well, I don’t know if I should…”
    “You should go back; this will be interesting to hear.” His face folded into one of thoughtfulness. “Because the funny thing is, Jackie has a boyfriend.” I sat up.
    “No shit?” I blurted. He nodded. “Wait a second, is it you?”
    “Nah. I tried a while back, and that didn’t go too well. But that’s another story.”

  24. Bow, like a bow and arrow, immediately makes me think of The Legend of Zelda. I’m a huge gamer, and Zelda is probably up there with one of my favourites. I just recently found out that the famous comedian and actor Robin Williams is also a huge Zelda fan, which makes me very happy.

  29. Curtsy. Japanese. Religion. I just picture Alice trying to curtsy while saying “YES your majesty”. In Japan you pretty much have to bow to everyone as a sign of respect. In religion many people bow during their prayers. Respect.
