it is something fabulous that girls do in their hair. there are several kinds of braids, but my fav is the fishbone:) it looks elegant and cool. when I was little I used to love looking at them and loved when my mom would braid my hair…I would feel so beautiful just because of that simple thing she did to my hair.
Her long golden braid reached all the way down to the floor. As the bow slipped undone and the silver ribbon floated to the ground and roll after roll of thick blonde girls tumbled free.
i braid my hair occasionally, well more often than not. I love to braid it using four pieces instead of three, it looks so different then the regular ones, and people are always asking me how I do it. I also love to french braid my hair I think it looks amazing and so relaxed; but still looking like you care about what you look like.
Braid twisty hair, or the Braden of a rope, or for some reason horses come to mind. Maybe because as a child inured to love to see horses with their main and tails braided.
He always wears his hair in a braid. I use it to pick him out of a crowded room. He is neat, and fairly well organized and he likes to work with his hands. I love to play with his hair, though I never get to see it down, running my fingers over his braid is still fun. I love him so much, his hair is part of who he is. I can’t imagine him without his braid.
Her braid was flowing with crimson flowers, gold trimmed and hibiscus; long blonde hair just emanating time spent. Knowing today was a special one, she laced her forehead with a daisy tiara and a the knowledge that someday soon her prince would return.
you braid your hair
its a simple braid nothing special except
when your braiding you look so focused
its a spectacular sight
your eyes close
your mouth curves up in the corner
its amazing the way you take so much thought
into something so little
but as i watch
i realize
you put so much effort into doing something simple
i wonder how much effort you put into
something complex
something broken
something like
me
something intertwined, usually hair, rope, something threadlike. a braid is a neat way to hold something together. a braid looks pretty in long hair. you can have more than one braid. takes three strings/threads.
I like to put my hair in braids. It’s not always this way. When I was young I used to think I looked stupid in braids, and I couldn’t sit still to save my life. It would have been good to know about the adhd I had back then. Braids are so simple now that I wear one once a day. Kacie wears braids all the time too. I think this is enough writing. blas
Bridget’s hair was pulled back in a messy but rather intricate braid. It lay against the side of her neck and dangled over the pages of the book in her hands, shining in the early morning glow from the window. She caught me looking at her and gave me a light smack in the arm. I saw her smile behind her hand.
I remember when I was younger, my mother taught my father how to braid my hair. I remember him pulling it so tight that it made my head hurt. Well, I’m 21 now, and have been doing my hair since I was about 11. I’ve never kept it braided ever since.
i can never wear my hair in that cute, side braid that looks so cute on most girls. maybe my hair’s too thick, or the wrong texture, it just doesn’t work on me. i know it’s silly to be sad about not being able to wear your hair a certain way, but i like it, it looks like hippie hair.
i like to braid lots of peoples hair. i have never known how to french braid but i would love to learn how. I have tried before on other people. I think its really cool that some people can braid their own hair in french braids. that takes some serious skill! i really wish i had shorter hair so that my braids wouldnt be so hard to braid.
Her long braid hung behind her flapping in the breeze as she ran… ran fast as she could away… away from everything; thoughts, words, her. “Why? Why was she here. Didn’t she know what this would do to her?”
Her perfect, auburn, braid sat against the back of her white button down. That was all I could see from here. But it still put me in a trance. Because every time I saw any part of her, I swooned. How can a girl do this to me? Am I going insane? I knew I wasn’t, but I was afraid of the real reason I couldn’t stop staring at her.
i USED to braid my hair alot when it was longer. It’s such a sweet look. Maybe my hair will get long enough for it to really braid well/ Then there is bread braiding.
braid and braid and braid rapunzel’s hair. Song for the Tangled Barbie doll commercial with the girl with the cheezy voice. So totally hilarious. Lol lol lol lol
Shiloh wore her hair in a braid with little pieces that came loose around her face. Everyone called her beautiful. Mine was short because my mom didn’t want to waste time in the morning doing it. No one ever called me beautiful.
I told my friend that you only needed two groups of hair to make a braid. She said “bullshit.” Pre-K girls are so pissy. Like she knew anything about braids.
i like to braid
i braid my sisters hair
its harder to braid my own
braiding is an art
you have to teach yourself, it cant be taught
i like pictures of braids,
braids remind me of childhood
What a beautiful braid! In her satin light blue dress, her long, silky, ebony locks pulled together ever so wonderfully for the first time, she is transformed. She looked perfect. And she is ready to go.
It seemed magical, the way she could raise her arms, her hands disappearing behind her head and suddenly a perfect braid falling down her spine. She did her hair with grace and ease, as she should since she did it everyday. Everyday, the same hair style, but it was like her signature look. Which is why everyone things had changed when her hands could no longer pull each strand back in a braid, her hair stopping shoulder length, as though in defiance.
I saw one thing as she was walking away. That one long braid. It was long, it reached all the way to her perfectly shaped rear. It was messy, just like her. Wild and free.
i used to braid my hair. then sticky, steamy, sweaty summer rolled around and the thought of a braid made me perspire. Cut off the locks girls, bring on the heat, we can take it.
hair, blonde. long. sampson. pretty. mine. cut it off and donate it to locks of love. Little girls with braids. kindergarten. sundresses. pigtails. a lot of hair. corn rows. Jamaica.
She had braided her hair that day, and when she walked, it swung behind her with a certain kind of enthusiasm. Complimenting her stride, her confidence, her happiness, it made a lot of sense. I followed after her, making sure to keep up with her pace, all the while listening to her blissful chatter about her day. I loved the way she braided her hair.
When I think of a braid, I think of interconnecting pieces. You cannot have a braid without each piece of the braid. In, and out…in, and out…each piece works together to form a beautiful ending.
Her braids reached down to her waist.
And spun out
as she danced in the rain
Her feet moving faster and faster
Her mouth smiling wider and wider
And she was completely unaware of everything around her
Except for the rain
And the cool grass underneath her feet.
Her braid swung back and forth down her back as she ran for her life away from the man in the mask. He was trying to scalp her and her beautifully braided hair had attracted his attention.

The braid was long enough to see for miles. But he was blind so he couldn’t see it. All the effort put into the braid was of waste, young padawan.

When he would braid the bread in the morning, he would hum tunes softly to himself and think about the night before and what they had done together

By Kaci on 07.01.2011
Her braids reached down to her waist.
And spun out
as she danced in the rain
Her feet moving faster and faster
Her mouth smiling wider and wider
And she was completely unaware of everything around her
Except for the rain
And the cool grass underneath her feet.

Her braid swung back and forth down her back as she ran for her life away from the man in the mask. He was trying to scalp her and her beautifully braided hair had attracted his attention.
