“Hi!” Jessie yelled at the top of her lungs while hugging her best friend Carey. They hadn’t seen each other in five years when Carey suddenly calls her and asks her to celebrate a three year anniversary. She didn’t even know that her best friend from grade school had gotten married.
It’s the end of the year. Senior year. Graduation. A day of celebrating. But what exactly are we celebrating. Is it leaving a place you’ve known most of your life? Is it leaving behind some of the coolest people you’ve ever known, your best friends? What about this day can we celebrate? Oh right. Getting the hell outta that demonic world we call high school. Now I remember.
We celebrate anniversaries, monumental events, beginnings, endings, victories.
I just…. celebrations are lost on me.
Do you wake up, every birthday, expecting extravagant things and just get completely down-struck at the sight of nothing.
I don’t really like my birthdays, because they have always been some of the worst days of my life.
Celebrate every day that you live. Make sure you surround your life with those who make you happy and those who can make a positive influence on you. Celebrate yourself. Celebrate your freedom. It was about time to celebrate and appreciate life. I need to be thankfult that I have everything and everyone in it. Stress, pain, and anger are all Part of life, but so is love, happiness, and relaxation. Good times and bad times come; it’s just all about how you take it and grow off of it that matters.

I had just celebrated my 17th birthday when I got the news. They had died, while driving down an icy lane trying to make my birthday special. Just speeding down that highway when they got hit. The police said that they were still holding my gift, all wrapped up in shiny paper. They had gotten me “The Game of Life”.
Celebrate life. If I were to celebrate every instance and aspect of life, I would. I’m unable to. I find it difficult. How does someone find every single moment enjoyable? How does someone completely grasp life in such a manner? Is it possible? Can I achieve that? Can you? Selective celebration is my means of celebrating life.

The dawn has come and our victory has sprung. The zobies have seen their downfall and our lives are to be celebrated again but in out eyes the ones we lost will never fleet from our memories, their words and actions will remain forever in our hearts.

what is there left after the banners have dropped and the confetti’s done its swirling flight? reminds you that things are only ever temporary. celebrations are brief and the reasons to despair number even more – but maybe that’s why we bring out the champagne, and maybe that’s why we try to lose ourselves, and maybe that’s why we pretend that there are things that are eternally gladdening.
Birthdays. Weddings. Celebrate. These words have meaning to some people, but not to me. I hate everything and everyone. What is a celebration? It is merely and excuse to be happy, when in actuality, there is nothing to be happy about.
I love to celebrate life’s little achievements. It’s really cool when something happens and you get to spontaneously celebrate something fun. My wife really enjoys it when we do something off the cuff and we splurge for something celebratory. Usually it involves going out to dinner. but it’s fun just to do that.
If there’s one thing we don’t do enough it’s this. We don’t celebrate life, love, and happiness. We don’t celebrate the sadness that we’re allowed to feel merely because we are alive. We should celebrate that we can feel everything around us. We should celebrate ourselves. We are beautiful creatures.
I want to celebrate the fact that I am so lost in my life right now. Even though I’m in the in-between, as most university students are, it makes me love the fact that I’m moving somewhere. If you’re a university/college student, don’t be upset that you don’t know what to do with your life, celebrate the fact that you’ve decided that you inevitably want to go somewhere with it.
my third birthday when i had a barney cake that instead of having purple iccing, it was more brown. it was the year i got a red trycicle which sounds more cliche now than it was at the time. it had baloons on it and a madeline doll in the basket. i remember this birthday really well becasue there is so much video of it but i think it really was great. i remember i wore a cream colored sweater with navy blue balls of polka dots or something on it.
Sitting in the restaurant watching all the elderly people pass by he looked some what depressed. “what’s up?” I asked him. “Well, it’s about the cake. I think she said it was about the presents! But I just can’t seem to get over this feeling of wanting to run screaming from the house! Celebrate? Sweet jezzzus! I just turned 40 and all want to do is run way like I was a teenager still.”
