  22. The crisp clover fields cover me like grandma’s old quilt, keeping me warm on a somewhat overcast, cool day. Though everything surrounding is dull and gray, it retains the color which I always wished I could see. It never fails me, it brings me even a pinch of luck, and joy and sorrow at once. Everything.

  23. Honey and clover is one of my most favorite anime shows – ever. If I’m not mistaken, clover stands for friendship and a four-leaf clover stands for luck.

If you have really good friends, then you’re a very lucky person.

Just how lucky am I going to be in this lifetime?

  24. a four leaf clover is something very rare. people often strive to find them for good luck, but why? luck isn’t brought upon us by a leaf growing out of the ground. superstition is pointless and only leads to disappointment. four leaf clovers mean nothing, they’re just part of a stupid old tradition that people will never give up. yet they give us hope that things will get better.

  25. Clover makes me think of luck but also of spice. Automatically you think “four-leaf clover” but on second thought, I don’t think that at all. I love sticking cloves in oranges at Christmas time….it is actually one of my favorite Christmas memories. It smells so good.

  27. What is a clover? A clover is a symbol of luck through Irish tradition, of course. I mean, it’s part of society in many ways. Usually it is associated with leprechauns, who wear hats with them sometimes.

  30. I find four leaf clovers all the time. They’re not as rare as people think. My best one has six leaves. Try finding them. It’s easy once you get the hang of it. People will think you’re weird though. When people see me looking they always think I’m weird, until I give them a four leaf clover.

  31. I’ve never found a four leaf clover on my own and I thought it was a really cool idea until when I was about 10 and my grandma was in the hospital, my aunt brought her a whole pot of four leaf clovers. Apparently you can buy them in stores. I didn’t think they were so special then.

  32. Is that a flower…? I forget, oh well wait it kinda sounds like a clover, like a 4 leaf clover I mean. Like it’s green and everything…I don’t know. And how 4 leaf covers are like good luck and rare, right? I don’t really remember

    by Zoe on 04.30.2011
  33. green. brings luck, if it has 4 leaves. a 4 leaf clover gives somebody who needs it, just a little bit of hope. another natural occurance in the world that can’t be explained, which is why we love it so much. something that brings us strength.

    by Carli on 04.30.2011
  36. I wish I could find a four leaf clover in every bunch I see. But that’s like saying I want to find an affordable diamond in every jewelry store, or a pearl in every oyster. All these things are sacred, and the chances of finding them are so low that it almost seems wrong to hope. But I’ll never stop hoping to find that special clover, just as I’ll always be trying to find my own star. Not everyone can be the needle in the haystack. But someone has to be.

  37. there’s something about a four-leaf clover that’s not so appealing to me. maybe it’s the scot in me coming out, trying to rebel against all the damn irish. but I think luck stems from something bigger, something greater than finding a clover on your walk in the park. life is much more remarkable than an extra leaf.

  39. if you believe it can be seen, just a small in a world of big. expansive skies can cover the doorway. why is this minute so long? a clover is hard to find, but truly unique…can’t this be applied to almost anything or anyone in life?

  40. Clovers are special. They are an opposite of society. While we as humans tend to shun those that are different, whenever we find a different (i.e. four leaf) clover, we hold it with such high regard, and when we have that one unique item, we consider ourselves to be lucky, and possibly brag about it to those around us. Why can’t we be that way to those unique people around us. And why can’t we be unique… we all have a bit of “four leaf” in us… so be that clover… be YOU
