  1. I looked down from where I was sitting to make eyes at the coaster on the table. I wanted to believe that it could keep my mind off whatever she was saying. It couldn’t. This, however, was not a good thing—vomiting is worse for me than anyone else. When I vomit, I choke and spew and gag and spill out the contents of my stomach onto whatever happens to be close to me.

  13. An emotional ride, you can’t seem to hate, but you can’t seem to like it either. Dramatic. Alluring, pulling you the whole way. What’s to be afraid of? Why is it that the butterflies cry, and flutter in my center? Why can I not decide the truth? You’ll be caught, but completely safe? It’s a journey; it’s an adventure. Coaster along, taking the risk; or standing on the sidelines wishing for the proper excitement.
