  5. In curiosity, you may have a map, but every direction marks the right path. That’s how he felt as a boy, this scruffy man. He still catches that metallic scent from time to time, but never is it as keen now as it was every instance, every day, every hour when he was a child. What happened? Did adulthood dull his passion for discovery (and all his other senses to boot), or was his need gradually filled up? He sighs. He resigns to assign it to resignation; maybe dilapidation.

  11. As curious as it all seems I really didn’t mind walking home in the rain. It was something I had become accustomed to, a daily thing: A routine. It was certainly better then snow. I had my umbrella with me, so it wasn’t a big deal… I wasn’t getting soaked or anything.
Thinking about the weather made me pause in my tracks. It recalled to memory the day when I realized that everything I wanted would never be achieved. I could almost feel the snow in my bare hands again, the icy stabbing sensation shooting up my arms. I could feel the cold chill against my bare neck again, and taste the salt of tears on my lips. Of course I could feel more then the weather beating against my frail body, I could feel his words breaking through my heart.
“It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong. I’ll calm her down.”
As if it didn’t matter that I was sobbing on the other side of the phone. I should have accepted then that she would always matter more. Curious as it seems, I couldn’t.

  16. My father left home today. I woke up and he was gone. The walk down the hallway was different than usual, rows of pictures that lined the hallway were gone and the room at the end of the hall just before the stairs was almost empty, except for a portrait of my sister he must not have wanted. My mother sat in the kitchen crying and I could hear her as I stood at the crest of the top stair, my toes hanging delicately off the edge. I couldn’t help but wonder if I would be enough for her.

  26. curious geogre was a monkey who couldnt believe that every thing in the world was at the palm of his hands. He had to investigate every thing including the things the man in the yellow hat told him not to. He traveled to a grocery store and was told to stay put but across the aisle george saw a pile of news papers and wondered what they were sitting there for. u He went over to investigate and realized there was a puppy laying on the ground.
