A dare is when someone is challenging you to do something of their choice. They are seeing if you can acomplish it with no fail. Example: “I dare you to jump off the house” this is a dare someone set a person to do, but will they do it, or will they fail?
I don’t suppose anyone ended up date. At least if memory serves me well. There was a treefort, our own basecamp from where we could conduct experiments and excursions deeper into the forest. I, most likely, ended up in the water. There was a carcass at the end. I don’t think it had anything to do with all of that though.
I saw him again. He was standing there. Looking straight into my eyes piercing through my skin. That peculiar smell, that sound, like he was reaching out to me. I was scared and alone and miserable. I gathered courage and dared to go upto him and he was gone.

” your coming with me you know” he said , his deep bariton voice resinating somewere deep inside of her. like a string being plucked. she grabbes the barrel of the gun and pulled it twards her, him with it. close in eachothers arms the wind billowed around them. both seeimgin to resinate with the static of the risk around them, on top of the water tower
he tried, again and again. he couldnt just sit there watching. he went with them. he saw it. he thought bout it all night. he couldnt get it out of his mind. and finally. it was his day. he dared. he dared to kill.
It was cold water lapping at the carved clay edges of a pond. The moon was the only orb of light that ignited the night sky, a cool flame that burned indefinitely. A single dare, whispered on the end of a breath breathed into my ear; a snide remark that pushed me to go forward. An uncertain pause, then plunging into the dark, glassy waters; a rush of adrenaline, a thousand ripples.
He pushed the pedal hard against the floor, squeezing every last ounce of power from it, the car exploded forward as if it’d just remembered it’d left the iron on. He looked in the rearview mirror and smirked

“Hmmm… I dare you to go to the moon and back.”, his mother said. He wasn’t really sure he could, but when he did, he became the first man to walk on the moon. Neil Armstrong. And it was all because of a dare his mother thought up for him. That just makes me think about how many great people have done great things because of something so simple.

Dare. I think a dare is something no one should say no to. You can only experience so much on your own time, so why not let someone give you a little push here and there. Just don’t let your actions go against your moral values, because what would we be without our values. Next time you are told a dare, go out and make the best of it. You never know what can happen off of a simple dare.
