  26. digital! that’s a huge thing to cover. everything is digital, which is weird, because it’s not tangible. what do we do if everything that is digital is gone? it’d be gone forever. i miss tangibility, which is why i still buy books, real book, and why i miss real pictures you can hold in your hand. digital is great. it is great for sharing. but it seems almost unreal.

A family dinner was a gathering time, a place where young and old could come together and share their day, their experiences, have some laughs and enjoy their time together. The digital universe, it’s hard to tell if it’s helping our hurting us as people…

  35. Nobody ever asked him if he wanted the digital clock. Nobody ever thought perhaps he’d preferred the analog with its two steady hands and the ruthless, constantly ticking third. He’d enjoyed the precision, and while he knew the new clock was good enough and advanced enough that he could set it to show him every second as well as each minute and hour, it wasn’t the same. No real movement. No conscious effort.

  40. In today’s digital age, many people are crippled by the lack of human interaction. Most conversations take place via text message or are posted on Facebook. People don’t even need to leave their houses any more to do their grocery shopping or buy things from the store. Bookstores have become obsolete with sites like Amazon.com. If people want human interaction, they pop open their webcam and view people over a computer screen.
