  1. Dilemmas are so weird. It’s so strange that every single moment of every single day is a dilemma. I’m sitting here on my laptop in the middle of a beautiful summer day when I could be outside reading a novel or walking around downtown. But you know what? It’s my first day off in WEEKS and I deserve it!

  2. Rain pelted against the widows – those poor women. Dilemma watched their huddled bodies bend toward the ground under the weight of water and shame. Everything was waterlogged; the rain had begun to affect the entire country.
It was harder to hear people speak, layers were in, lawyers were out, and no one wanted to drink anything with no alcohol content. Emma, as her friends called her, missed her husband dreadfully. His bloated, drowned body was found last week in the street – or so she was told. She did not know what to believe anymore. This was Dilemma, and she was a big one.

  3. To kill or not to kill …? Now that was the question.

Ivonae pondered it, drumming her sharply tapered nails against her cheek as she thought. On one hand, the intruder was invading her realm. However, on the other, it seemed to have no clue exactly what it had stumbled into, nor any real understanding of the riches it was passing over so quickly in its search for whatever it was that it had come here for.

  4. Oh yeah. This is something of a dilemma. In my head anyway. In reality, it’s probably nothing at all. I probably won’t even remember this day. In the whole grand scheme of things, I mean. I’m not making sense. But I really hope everything’s okay and this “dilemma” isn’t really a dilemma at all.

  5. The real dilemma is that people don’t even seem to realize what’s going on. We’re told what’s important, about what we should care, for whom we should vote, to whom we should listen. MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. It’s up to all of us, and we can’t vote against principle to be on the “winning side.”

  6. I’m in dilemma, I thought. Which path will I choose? The safe, well lit one that leads me to security or the dark, winding one that I know leads me to where I want to go? It’s cobbled, and there’s roots growing up through it. It’s badly lit, and cracked, and I want to know what’s there.

  7. I have a small problem, slight really. And I’m not really sure what to do about it. You see that’s where you come in. I need you to do something for me. I want you to rectify my dilemma. All you need to do is listen, and dream. Simple.

  9. The dilemma was crushing Susanna: should she kill the rabbit or sell it? Either way it had to go; it was his. His! God’s. Devout believers do as they are told, which the rabbit would understand. Most definitely. Quite definitely.
    Probably.

  16. I stood before the bridge, tired, overwhelmed by the thoughts that raged in my brain. The man I had been following…did I know him? Did I somehow forget him when I forgot everything else last fall?
All too soon, a hand was grasping my arm, a voice was leaning towards my ear, whispering, “It’s time to go.”
I had a dilemma. Either fight and run after the man who had called me Mia or go with the man waiting by my side who would take me back to a place where everyone called me Amelia. But either way, trouble would follow me.
    “Are you coming, Amelia?”
Hesitating, I gazed off towards the path the brunette guy had walked to. Though he was long gone, I stared on, hoping he would hear me whisper, “Yes?”

  17. it was craziness. i looked down at the stick, two lines i realized we had a serious dilemma on our hands. how was I going to tell him I was pregnant? Was he going to leave me? Was he going to tell everyone what I had done? I didn’t know for sure, I just knew I had to tell him, I had to be honest. That is my one fault, and good condition. To the T honesty. I couldn’t believe this had happened, and so soon after the last time. I was so frightened, for myself, and for the possibility of losing him. It wasn’t fair to him, it wasn’t his fault. I loved him but hadn’t told him at that point in our relationship. This was going to seem bigger than even that!

  19. i have a dilemma. what would you do if you were in the same dilemma as myself? well for starters you would probably hit the wall, or a door to make an obnoxious hole in it…to think you’d make yourself feel better but only to make yourself worse off..with a damaged door and fist. thats how you would solve your dilemma if you were myself.

“What is it, ‘Lock? Everything ok?”

Just ask him. Just ask. It’s over the phone, for Christ’s sake. Over the damn phone. You don’t even have to see his face.

“I’m nearly home, what is it?”

    “I…would you…let’s get married.”

    Silence.

    “John?”

    “Yes.”

    “Are you–”

    “Yes. You idiot. Yes.”

    See? No dilemma.

  24. Prisoner’s dilemma. What to do, what to do. Rat out your accomplice in hopes for a lighter term, or stay silent? What does your partner do? Does he betray you, or is he protecting you? It’s impossible to tell what he will do, and so you do the only thing you can. Look out for number one.

Watch it from your ivory tower. Paint the sky grey like a coward. How long have you got? I could go on for hours, a sweet little tale that ended sour. My words will ring in your ears.

  38. Here we were in a dilemma. We had this dying animal in front of us. A fox on the sterile table of science and medical exceptions. Yet if we didn’t rescue this animal, he would die of malnourishment and definite mistreatment. I sighed, then gritting my teeth, scooped up the tiny animal in my arms. I shot a glance over at my partner. “Let’s go.”
