  1. You the the biggest egotistical jerk ever. I can’t believe I ever trusted you. You flirted and we had fun. You got a girlfriend. And the second you broke up, you were texting me and flirting with me, and I believed you were serious. A few days later you got the first girl back.

  2. He had a huge ego. It was bigger than his car, even his house. It extended far beyond the reaches of reality, farther than humans had ever travelled. If he had been able to harness it, he could have powered the earth for a month, but he was, of course, much more interested in clipping his toenails.

  3. Kenny’s ego was shot. There was just no chance.

It had started at recess. They were playing Basketball. It was Kenny, Jamal, and Richard against Pablo, Mike, and Jim.

It was tied with 15 seconds left till the bell. Jamal had passed the ball to Kenny, and Kenny had jumped to shoot.

But Jim had hooked his foot on Kenny’s shin, making him lose his balance just as he left the ground.

    It was the ultimate injustice.

    Kenny’s fifth-grade ego was shattered.

  5. For the last hour, he’d just sat there, listening as Charlie went on and on about the wonders of himself and– really. That was about as much patience as he had inside of him. Sixty minutes of pure kindness before he lost it.

    “I’m suffocating!”

“Huh?” Charlie wasn’t aware that he should be offended.

    “Your ego.”

  6. Ego is a strange thing. Some people have an ego about things they know nothing about. Others are humble even when they are the foremost expert on a topic. So how do we know if arrogance is rightly deserved?

    by Nickk on 04.01.2011
  7. You are so egotistical! You only think about yourself. Why? Why don’t you love me like you should, why isn’t this my fairytale ending, why aren’t you who I thought you were? Why do you enjoy doing this to me?

    by M on 04.01.2011
  8. An ego. What’s an ego? Someone’s self esteem? Someone’s master plan? Someone’s way to a better job? An ego can be many things. It can be caused by many things. It can be taken away in the flash of an eye. It can be your happiness, sadness, frustration. It can even be your demise.

    by Madonna on 04.01.2011
  9. Ego. Id, ego, superego.

    Ergo…

See? I go straight to definitions. I guess today it’s because when I think of egos, I think of people with over enlarged egos and it’s not an area I want to think about. So from there I’d have to go to “ego” in the psych sense and -yawn…

  10. Got a big ego. Just like that video with that thick-legged Beyonce, and sartorialist Kanye West. If you don’t love yourself, who else will? Narcissism? It’s love. Self-love. Don’t you judge Kanye, and don’t you judge me, neither.

    by MJ on 04.01.2011
  11. I sometimes think that I have an ego, but then I meet someone who really does and I realize I’m pretty humble. I don’t get why people can think so much of themselves. I guess they just have the confidence that I don’t. I’m not confident in my looks or myself as a person, so I guess ego is out of the question.

    by Christine on 04.01.2011
  12. His ego was the thing that did it, the thing that turned his good looks, great sense of humor, and awesome brains into an annoyance of epic proportions. As he sat there, once again, prattling on about what seemed to be the endless depths of his accomplishments, she realized that nothing was worth this boredom. And so she left.

    by Courtney on 04.01.2011
  13. Ego makes me think of eggo before I think of someone with a big head. I don’t like the word because it is overused and misused and it looks like a waffle instead of an important word that psychiatrists and divas and many other use. It isn’t aesthetically pleasing.

    by Katy on 04.01.2011
  14. Some people have big egos..and no one likes it when you do…Just have a small ego, and be nice to others ;)

    by Taylor Heilesen on 04.01.2011
  15. Inflate it. Feed it. Place it on a pedestal and stroke it longingly. Your ego is your pride, your idol – the one thing that will keep you up when you’re feeling like a house collapsing into shambles. It takes one with a brave heart to kick the pedestal over and tear the ego to shreds. And we all secretly envy that person.

  16. I hate how people’s ego’s are so different around different people. How they act the way they think that you’d want them to act. The simplest thing to do is: just be yourself for Christ’s sake! It’s not that hard.

  17. Ego, para qué, si al final todos vamos para el mismo lugar.

    by david on 04.01.2011
  18. This is something that many people have. It comes with pride, selfishness, big-headedness. Why can’t people strive to exercise more of a humble attitude? People need to work on loving others rather than bettering theirselves. Ego is human though…sometimes you can’t avoid it.

    by Jesse Kohl on 04.01.2011

  20. The man walking down the street looked obnoxious. The way he was dressed, the way he strutted, everything about him was just plain annoying. I could tell just by looking at his shoes that he spent hours to get ready in the morning. I then realized we had the same shoes on. I hope people don’t mistake me for someone as obnoxious and conceited as that douche.

  21. people get big heads. they let what others people’s eyes see tell their story. they lose pieces of who they are. suddenly everything is a competition.

  23. His ego was out of control, but he didn’t care. He let it eat him from the inside. It feasted on his hopes and dreams, and when it finished, it turned vector; it entered me. My ego had been shot years ago, shot by the darkness of truth, and so it laid there weakly. Too frail to fight, too scared to stand up. The terrible disease that was him was now me, is now me, and it ruined me, ruins me, ruined me.

  24. She sat in the high topped chair and thought of her appearance. “I am the best. I don’t care what people think.” She tried to comfort herself. “I love me.”

  25. I have an ego. It is large, it is out of control. I try to tame it but whenever I do I just look in the mirror and think to myself, “damn, that is one fine-looking person.” It’s hard being me. Honestly. Like how would you feel if you had one life to live and had to choose between a Jag and a Porsche?

    by Rae on 04.01.2011
  26. Why do you have to have such a big EGO? Running around and pretending like you don’t care. You’re not willing to make up and apologize because you’re too stuck on yourself. Please realize what your doing….Not only to your self, but everybody around you. I love you. You with your huge ego. But I’m not going to stay around. SELFISH EGO

    by Caitlin on 04.01.2011
  27. Ego death and abortion of society. This is where we have ended up. If they all believe they are Christ, can they all be crucified? I will hammer the nails into the crucifix of this culture.

  28. Ego is something that could be good or bad. To me, ego is something that builds you up while tearing others down. When you have too big of an ego, you can be harming other people but you can also harm yourself. By having too large of an ego, you can turn people against you and make them feel worse about themselves. So what’s the good in feeling good with your self when you’re hurting other people in the process?

  29. ego is what is we are all about. without ego, we would have no reason to try to make ourselves better or to change anything we don’t like about ourselves. Too much ego can be just as bad as too little.

  34. The world is full of folks with HUGE egos. It seems that there are outsized egos or those who have no ego at all. Finding someone with a well adjusted ego is truly something that is akin to finding a needle in a haystack. Everyone’s ID’s seem to have run amuck.

  37. Don’t even think about it. It’s too late to even go back and change the past, so stop dwelling and get on with it. You think you are the only one who has suffered? You are WRONG. Wake up and smell the roses! You are not alone.
