  1. First rays of light hit the beach as I finish pumping my kite. Two minutes later, it’s soaring the sky and I’m bounding for the water. First waves, first love, I cherish these morning sessions for the release I can think back to all day.

  2. Something which changed everything, a sudden realization. A trigger. A moment of clarity. Going from unaware to enlightened. It causes you to take action and change something.

    by Rachel on 11.01.2011
  3. I didn’t even realise I was having one. I thought I had caught a cold, truth be told. But once the shivers passed and the thoughts solidified and became big masses of colour in my mind, I totally got what was happening. First thing I did; called the girls. They needed to know. Absolutely needed. Second thing, drew up the sketches. Was mega happy with them too. Ideas like this don’t come every day; a dress made of crackers – I’ve done it again…!?

  4. Letting go of the way things ought to be has opened up many doors. Each knob is a different feel, a different grasp must pull it, a different tugging sensation. When I can ignore what I expect from the door, I can let in more of the senses. What is on the other side is not something I can see from the door. So I close my eyes, swing open the handles, and await a surprise…

  5. I think epiphany means like when someone is trying to explain to you the right way to act in a certain thing. Like Mr. Woolley telling some one you shouldn’t put make up on in this class its not the right time to.

  13. I have no clue of what epiphany is i think it’s when you feel bad for someone. Jk it like when you have a dream or something.

  14. The thought came so suddenly that he hardly had time to reflect on its implications. He grabbed her arm and they flew from the train. Hitting the ground he held her and said the phrase. They landed in her living room.

  15. I didn’t expect it. I didn’t want it. I fought with it, struggled against it. Exhausted, it consumed me.

I faced the next day with weary readiness. I couldn’t be the same as I had been – impossible – but the lesson was asking too much of me. Wrong and flawed and unhealthy as my life had been beforehand, it had at least been my life. Familiar.

    The epiphany? Terrifying.

  16. I have epiphanies every day. I remember learning this word as a vocabulary word my freshman year of high school. And I think it was Kevin who always said it in class. I’m always having the most profound epiphanies, but I never act on them. What a waste.

  17. It was amazing. The feeling of an epiphany. It was sudden, but very strong, like a wave blaasting over someone standing idly on the shore of a great lake or at the head of the ocean. It hit like a winter blizzard, unexpected and from the hozion least expected.

  19. I had an epiphany Labor Day weekend. It was all about Jesus! I realized how self-ish I was with my religion. I needed to put everything in God’s hands. I love him. Now if only I could started evangelism. That’d be amazing.

    by Sara on 11.01.2011
  20. I had an epiphany today. I love you, and I want to remain that way everyday for the rest of my life. Don’t leave me boy, don’t leave.

  21. Epifanía, cuando descubrí su rostro en el espejo. Grité, cerré mi mano en un puño y golpeé el objeto, quebrándolo en mil pedazos. La sangre corrió por mis brazos, el sudor corría por mi frente y la rabia por mis venas.

  22. There are moments when the world comes together, when an epiphany strikes like an ill-placed lightning bolt. This is not one of those times. She is thrown into the world with a blink and a sigh, and before she knows it, the epiphany that she wished she had is but an unfortunate calling.

  23. I woke up one morning to the dark light creeping through my bedroom window shades. I had had an epiphany. My fish was swimming across from me in his small bowl a simple life…some may say a boring life…but if thats all he needs is it enough for him? if he doersn’t know anything else is it all he will ever want

  24. In the books, it always describes it as “It struck me”. I found this funny. That wasn’t how it happened. It sort of snuck up on me, a sweet little cat that seemed like it just wanted to play until it bites your neck and you jump back. You see it coming, but you just ignore it like it’s not important until it’s there. I wish I had noticed it before hand. I wished I had admitted it was on its way.

  25. Something that makes you realise who you are, or who you want to be or who you can be. A revelation that changes the way you think, the way feel and even the way you see things. A miracle?

    by Amy on 11.01.2011
  26. it has got to do something wih the religion and with jesus. i think it’s something with his resurection? like in april? easter? maybe it’s also a word thats used otherwise, not having to do anything with religion, maybe it has something to do with mercy?

  27. An epiphany is when you have one of those lightbulb moments. It’s a revelation of something that you have been stumbling over for days and it is a very relieving moment.

  28. lye ont those
    leaf draken

  29. I have so many epiphanies they almost mean nothing. The best part about them, though, is that I always make sure to have them in Strangers With Candy style. Jerry Blank’s voice suddenly takes over my brain: People. Never. Change! I GOT SOMETHING TA SAY!

I think there’s certain places that more easily produce epiphanies–for me it’s always been by water.

  30. A short jab at his rib.
He was my father, a child.
I had an epiphany, and now I’m no better.

  31. Ah, epiphanies are amazing. Aren’t they just the point of day-to-day living? When you have one, it’s just the culmination of everything, and suddenly everything makes sense. It reminds me of the bit in Douglas Adams’ So Long and Thanks for All the Fish – when Fenchurch talks about years of unnoticed worry just dropping away, like a stick being watered, like black and white becoming technicolour… Awesome.

    by Steph on 11.01.2011
  32. Epiphanies don’t always mean redemption. They don’t always mean your life is saved or at least will get somewhat better. Irishmen with their epiphanies that they’re paralyzed in Irish woes. Yeah, lovely to know, but now what? The ever pervading question. When you’re lying on your bed and your date’s just left, and you’ve counted all the diamonds in the chandelier, and the thought remains: Now what?

    by Belinda Roddie on 11.01.2011
  33. Epiphany reminds me of Angel Taylor. A very good song writer who taught me what that word meant. It’s a really cool word! Epiphanies make you see the world from a different angle and help you understand things!

  34. I sat at my window looking out at the little bugs stuck in between the sill and the window. I was hungry, I was upset at these turns of events I had an epiphany.

  37. And then Taeyeon dropped her water bottle, it was half full and after the thing hit the floor Yuri yelled furiously. She almost slapped her friend whose mouth is hung open.

The girl didn’t answer but speed out of their dorm, extremely scared, apparently the girl forgot Tiffany’s birthday and she apparently just saw a vision of herself being beat up by a prada bag.

  38. I just had a thought! Oh wait…that’s the point of the word. Epiphany. Also makes me think of old ladies who smell like moth balls and chocolate chip cookies. I think from growing up Lutheran because the Epiphany has something to do with Christmas. Wish I remembered what it was!

  39. It her like a ton of bricks. She stood on that stage of that dingy bar and knew it wasn’t where she belonged. There were people clapping and cheering her on asking for an encore or to meet her at the bar. In her heart she knew. It wasn’t where she belonged. She knew where she did belong. In his arms.
