Time stood still as I saw the hurtling lump of machinery spin through the air, tossed like a rag doll from a grumpy monster, heading right towards my passenger seat.
I wish it had inched right, just a little bit more.
But my time’s up, and you’ll have to put the finishing touches on it yourself.
There were ripped up ticket stubs littered on the floor. She walked slowly through the event room after the hurricane had passed through, after the screaming people had left. After the flashbulbs dimmed.
He was at her side. They weren’t holding hands. There was already something connecting them, something quiet. The makeup had been scrubbed off her face. Her hair was limp, flat, no more hairspray. There was a bus waiting for them outside, to whisk them to the next nightmare, but for now the evening was their own.

Suggests a myriad of plans and arrangements. Filo-fax organisation. And I’m thinking of binders and files and manila envelopes. And suits and black and white dressed people.
But a real event, like a volcano erupting, or a storm gathering, is sudden, spontaneous, unplanned and unpretentious. Like a truth being told. Or a confession.
And instead of the pop of champagne corks, there’s another pop. A gleeful sigh of release. Somewhere within.

The 2ne1 concert was simply amazing. There were so many people there that were all different that came together to see a unique band perform for the first time in the states. It was crazy to see how many people supported them.
It was lying out there over the horizon. He could feel it coursing through him for all these days. These days on the road that made all of the past seem just one pin prick. A balloon reaches its limit. It’s time to begin something new.
