  1. To give an example to to display what you know. by being able to compare and give an ‘example’ in the first place means you somewhat know what your talking about. No wonder the phrase “for example” is so common.

  2. when i saw the word example, i thought it was going to show me an example of….something on this site. i’m not sure, but i was waiting to be shown how to do something. something new. but that’s just who i am. i wait to see how to do things. i never take charge. this site has opened my eyes to who i am after 60 seconds.

  4. Here’s an example. For instance, it’s like the time when something crazy happened. Who knows. I take a look at the example on the test. I don’t get it. So I bullshit the guess. I don’t care about the grade. This is an example of a time when I should have cared. OH WELL.

  5. in school they’ll show you an example for a problem to help you. however, 95% of the time, the ‘examples’ don’t necessarily help you out. but sometimes they do. examples are good. yeah. they’re pretty good things usually. i’d saaaay!

  6. Anne Frank is a terrific example of hope. She is a great inspiration to me. I know I wouldn’t have been able to greet her same situation with the same steadfast courage. that’s all.

  7. One would assume she’d learn from all the examples in her life. All the times she took a risk and it never paid off. All the lessens never learned and all the rules bent for selfish purpose. She never figured it out and she perpetually made these mistakes for as long as she lived.

  8. Alwys see this word on written tests. “Identify, explain, and provide examples of blah blah blah blah blah”. I guess without the word we wouldn’t really be doing much ‘deeper’ thinking. At least this way we’re forced to think a little.

  13. An example of my writing is the following:
    I don’t think I’m a great writer. Actually, I’m a terrible one. For my college essays, my mom had to edit and re-edit. I could never get it down by myself. When I got to college (my first choice, THANKS MOM!), I met the man of my dreams. I didn’t know this at first, and was really hesitant to start going out. But then we decided we both liked each other and now we’re dating and he’s a great writer. I love reading his examples. The end.

  17. GIve me one thing that explains it. Tell me one thing that could make me understand.
    I need an example, otherwise my disconnected mind can’t grasp exactly what you’re saying. It will spin a little and half of everything will click. But without you adding an example pieces will still lay loose like leftover puzzle piecces.

  25. here is an example of how i spend my saturday nights most of the time. i surround my daily life with people who just make me feel like a pile of feces. I need to change me. not for anybody but myself. I need to spend more time focusing on what I want in life, and not care about what others think. I’m going to make myself proud of me, and who i have become. I can’t wait. the only thing that gets to me is the fact that i say this to myself all the time, but i never follow through, i need help.

    when this first popped up, i thought it would be a demonstration. but it’s not, i guess. I’m really just going for it. I should show this to jacob, he would freakk

  34. Following by example is the best way to learn a new skill. There’s only so much you can do with words, which is ironic given the format in which I’m explaining this to you. Actions speak so much louder than words, and while they may not last as long, I’d rather everyone be taught to drive by their parents than the population of the world forced to learn purely by book. That would be dangerous. And the world is dangerous enough as it is.

  40. an example of love is when a guy sees a girl as the most beautiful, the most sexy, the most perfect, the most lovely girl in the whole wide world. for example, when a guy tells a girl that she’s “good”, he doesn’t really love, he’s just into her and wants to.. well, you know. when he tells her she’s “beautiful”, he MUST mean it and be absolutely and totally sure of it. unless he’s not sincere, he shouldn’t make her believe she’s the one for he’s the one for her.
