  2. Stranger than fiction. There are two versions I think of – Chuck Palahniuk’s book and the film with Emma Thompson, Will Ferrell & Sad Turtle Face aka Maggie Gyllanhall. Is that how you spell it? Hmmm

Wahrheiten …

  4. Fiction. Such a simple word means so much to me. For me, it’s a world we don’t live in. A seemingly perfect world. It’s imaginative and unique, different for all of us. But it’s one of the best things in the real world.

  5. I used to hate fiction. Maybe hate is too strong a word. I was distrustful. It is too easy to write a story and sell its lies, cliches, misconseptions to the world as truth. It was too easy to be swept away in pretty plots and people. I didn’t trust fiction to reflect the world. I’m not sure anymore though. I struggle with any truth. Fiction rests on being able to convey a truth to the reader without being too explicit. It relies on stereotypes. A glance in the form of a paragraph shows a stubborn chin, or long earrings, or big ears, and it’s all used to show who the person is. It’s about finding a way to judge.

  6. shalala uuuhh

  7. When one thinks about it, the pen is an amazing tool. However, it is useless without the grasp of a human hand. It is the remarkable talent of the human mind to tap into our limitless imaginations to vividly paint vast landscapes, conjure clashes between heroically tragic characters, and invoke raw emotion with a simple stroke of a pen. This unrestrained power to whisk us away into an fascinating ephemeral sojourn begs the question: if it really is fiction, why does it feel so real?

  8. one of the things that most hget into me is fiction. I mean, you can be whatever you want and you can do watheveryou want. Is lik miracle.

  10. of all the assignments she could have gotten – to write for sixty seconds about the word ‘fiction’. Well, fiction is in the eye of the beholder, her time on this planet had taught her that much. Just when you thought the facts of a thing were indisputable, along would come some jackass claiming you were lying. How she hated everyone else’s personal fictions. The men she worked with were the worst -they’d dictate reality to suit themselves and walk away satisfied with the havoc they caused. It was only bearable if one created other fictions to cover it up.

  11. Fiction. Brixton. Fiction. Right. My life is fiction. So is this world. The whole world is fiction. Everyone in it is fiction. It might seem real, it might seem perfect and not fiction. But it’s fiction. There is not way to prove otherwise, there’s no way to prove it is true. So I’m content in thinking this whole world is fiction.

  12. A way for people to use their imaginations. Made up. But not necessarily has no meaning. Many things and lessons can be learned from a fiction book. Sometimes our imagination can lead us to a way of learning we never thought possible through other methods.

    by Anna on 01.05.2011

  19. fiction is fake. it can inspire and bring out emotions in many, but it has no actual place.
it’s made up. dreams are fiction, fantasies and tales are fiction.

  21. I wish life could be lived as fiction. Imagination taking over, inventing life as it comes up. Bridges would build out in front of me, delicious food would appear in front of my eyes.

    by Nicole Bartley on 01.05.2011

  23. I looove fictional stories of all kinds! There’s nothing more amazing than creating an entire world out of nothing more than your own imagination. :) That’s why I find fictional stories so much more creative than non-fictional ones.

    Barry: Why are we here?

    Barry: This isn’t real?
    Joe: No.

  25. Fiction is a type of writing style that is typically described as “not real” or “not happening”. It is usually a work of art that is made up and brought forth out of the authors mind and imagination. It has the power to do many things for people and their lives; such as changing them.

    by Scott DIZZZZZZZZZZ on 01.05.2011
  26. Some people consider fiction as “lower-class” when compared to non-fiction. Not true. The level of creativity and effort to create new words completely disregards that argument.

  31. It’s true that the truth is –
    Fictionalized.
    Always.
It’s never one hundred percent true because it’s never right on the money. You can’t tell the whole truth. Ever. Every damn time someone stands up in a court of law and swears to, he lies, because he’s not telling the whole truth, from the beginning, all the way. He isn’t telling you how he fell over his shoe laces earlier that morning which was why he had the scrapes on his palms, and the fact that he was blushing a little bit because the Miss Someone Or Other in the front row had some extra cleavage showing, and he sure as shit wasn’t telling anyone that he was seeing inside people for the first time when he realized the only real truth is true fiction.

  32. She pens it.

    He lives it.

  33. The dolphins are waiting. Just waiting for us all to slip up, then when we least expect it….Baaaaam! Goodnight Vienna.

  34. There’s no real way to tell how much fiction there is in what most authors write. There can be a little or a lot of thruths in their texts, especially if they draw upon personal things that have happened to them. And there are their beliefs, morals, and even their tastes that they use to complete their works.

    by RwBlackwell on 01.05.2011
  35. my life is not fiction. it does not chan ge by how I turn a phrase or want the plot to go. my life is reality, but I can write fiction as a part of my life. writing fiction would be an awesome thing, a wonderfully creative use of words, which is something I love to do, use words creatively. Fiction is a great entertainment for the masses, something to soothe the troubled soul.

  38. When I was a kid, I used to wonder if this was all real. This desk, this chair, this lamp, all the accessories of this life.

Sometimes I imagined I’d wake up as an alien, and be surprised to find I’d fallen asleep and been dreaming the whole time.

  39. Fiction is an often abused medium for conveying an ulterior motive to susceptible readers. While occasionally used for good ends, it can be manipulated both consciously by a writer’s malevolent intentions and subconsciously by the ignorance or ineptitude of the author.

  40. Fact vs Fiction. When I was growing up, there was a TV show by that name. It scared the living hell out of me, but I remember my Dad loving it. We would always watch it whenever it came on, and I would undoubtedly have plenty of nightmares after watching. However, it was our twisted little way of bonding, and I remember that more than any of the episodes.
